DBS Documents Guide
To become a UHSussex volunteer, you will need to complete a DBS check. During your interview, we will begin
this process by performing an ID check. In order to do this, you will need to bring three documents to your
interview (at least one document from each section below).
Please note: All documents must be the original versions (no photocopies or downloads from the internet e.g
online bank statements) and you cannot reuse the same document for different groups. One form of ID MUST
show your current address.
If you cannot produce a document from each of these groups, please contact us as soon as possible so that we
can support you through the process.

If you are a student and living in 'term-time accommodation', at least one of the documents MUST show your
current address (this is where you currently reside and where your DBS will be sent to). This could be either your
Driving License or one of the documents from Group Three.
