Activity 1: GUESS WHAT IT IS!
The teacher will show pictures to the class and will let the
students guess the pictures.

The teacher will ask the students, base on their own concept on
how they will describe a prince.

kind of stories are these?
The teacher will flash PowerPoint presentation and discuss about
the Folk Epic.
Folk Epic: Is a story that evolves from the people of a civilization
and their lives.
D. Discussing New Concepts It rises above the facts of those lives, although it is grounded in

wisdom, and values.

Do you know of other examples of folk epics? I will show you


some pictures and try to identify who are these people, and in
what epic they belong.
The teacher will show a picture of Lam Ang, Tuwaang, Bantugan,
and Aliguyon.

E. Discussing New Concepts


and Practicing New Skills #2 The teacher will show a video about “The Good Prince
Bantugan.”

Then, the teacher will ask the following questions:


1. What is the story all about?
2. Where did the story happen?
3. Who is the old king of the Kingdom Bumbaran?
4. How did the people in Kingdom Bumbaran, describe
Prince Bantugan?

Activity 2: Arrange Me!
Directions: Arrange the sentences in the proper sequence by
numbering them in the blanks as they happen in the story.

____Prince Bantugan married Princess Datimbang.


____Princess Datimbang was shocked to see the dead body of
Prince Batugan.
____The parrots were talking about the young man who died in
the Kingdom Between Two Seas.
____The Kingdom of Bumbaran was attacked by the enemies
