Chapter 6 Body and Behaviour FINAL Assignment

Title: “The Mind-Body Olympics”

Overview: Create a presentation (PowerPoint) as an entertaining competition between the

different parts of the brain and body, showcasing their unique abilities and functions.

TASK:

Introduction:

 A brief overview of key concepts you will be covering during your presentation.

 Introduce your competing “teams”. (Ex. left brain vs. right brain, The four lobes of the

brain, The endocrine glands, different hormones, etc.)

 Include interesting facts, functions, and other important material about each “team.”

Team Challenges

 Create hypothetical challenges or games (minimum of four) that represent real-life

functions of each part. (Ex. “The reaction Time Relay” for the nervous system or a

“Memory Maze” for the brain.) Make sure you explain them thoroughly!

 Be sure to include how each “team” interacts and relates with the body and behaviour.

Results and Conclusion

 Announce the winning “team” based on the challenges.

 Summarize the importance of teamwork among different body and brain parts.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the physiological aspects of behaviour,

showcase creativity in presenting complex concepts, and highlight the interdependence of

various body and brain components.
