Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) invites the qualified applicants in the fol-
lowing area. You are quite welcome to apply for the opening position. Please refer to the detailed information

3. Qualifications :
1) Business Administration(GTM, Global Technology Management)
 A doctor's degree in the inviting field and lower degrees in business or economics related fields
 Applicants with native-like proficiency in English for teaching and research
 Non-Korean Nationality (While ethnic Koreans can apply, dual nationality is not accepted)
 Representative publications over 200% (in recent four years from 11-01-2013 to 10-27-2017)
 Academic papers that are identified with ISSN numbers
 Classify among FA(first author), co-first author, CA(corresponding author), co-correspond-
ing author, and co
 Only receive SCI level(SCI, SSCI, A&HCI, SCIE), and KCI(Korea Citation Index) regis-
tered papers
 Academic publications that are identified with ISBN numbers
 Not accept simply compiled or translated books
 Educational or industrial experiences on technology management are preferred

2) Office of International Education


 A doctor's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics in English, Educational Technology or related
fields.
 Applicants with native-like proficiency in English for teaching and research
 Non-Korean Nationality (While ethnic Koreans can apply, dual nationality is not accepted)
 Representative publications over 150% (in recent four years from 11-01-2013 to 10-27-2017)
 Academic papers that are identified with ISSN numbers

7. Salary & Benefits:


 Annual salary: Starting from around KRW 40,000,000(depending on applicants’ careers)
 Performance-related pay
 Subsidized public pension premiums and national health insurance
 Supplemental health insurance for disability and hospitalization
 Research fund that motivates you to further your study on the first year employed
 Overseas travels expenses (1 Round-trip air tickets of economic class level and living expenses for
one day or two days) can be reimbursed to three nominees within 2.5 million Korean won.(We ask
three nominees to submit a receipt of air tickets and a copy of your passport.)

8. Job Description (Office of International Education)


 Newly created tenure-track position with responsibilities to teach, research and manage the EFL pro-
gram. The successful candidate would need to learn about our program and adapt to its unique char-
acter. Our curriculum is collaboratively created to meet student needs, standardized and encourages
the use of technology in the classroom. Position requires excellent communication skills, high com-

puter proficiency, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, flexibility, commitment to excel-
lence

9. Duties (Office of International Education):


 Teach 9 hours per week for two 16-week semesters
 English conversation credit courses
 Reading and Writing credit courses
 Opportunities to teach electives
 Hold 3 office hours per week
 Attend weekly meetings
 Support departmental development (e.g., committee assignments)
 Participate in curriculum, assessment, and materials development
 Meet university’s publishing requirement
 Lead program development

5. Personal Medical Assessment


All successful candidates must take a comprehensive medical exam (including an HIV and TBPE drug test**, etc) in accordance with
the requirements of the Korea Immigration Service. If the results show that the applicant is unfit to study and live overseas more than 3
years, he/she may be disqualified.
**The TBPE (tetrabromophenolphthalein ethyl ester) drug tests are for evaluating past usage of stimulant drugs.
