Firmware Upgrade – Instructions

Step 1. Precautions.
Step 1.1. Ensure the Smartphone uses Huawei Official Source Version. If it has been
upgraded to a non-official version or customized versions for other
countries, upgrade may fail and unknown issues may be introduced.

Step 1.2. This Firmware Upgrade Instructions applies only to HUAWEI FLA-LX3
Smartphones, being FLA-LX3 8.0.0.158(C605) the base version and FLA-LX3
9.1.0.121(C605E5R1P1T8) the target version. If the upgrade is performed in
other Smartphone models, a power-on failure may occur.

Step 1.3. Before Upgrade, back up data through Huawei HiSuite Application and ensure
the battery level is higher than 30%.

Step 1.4. During Upgrade, all user data may be erased.

Step 2. Preparing.

Step 2.1. To perform the upgrade, it is needed to use a microSD Card formatted as ExFAT.

Step 2.2. Verify the microSD Card is readable, writable and the available space is greater
than 8 GB. It is recommended to use a microSD card of SanDisk, Kingston, or
Kingmax.

Step 2.3. Go to the path "Huawei Y9 2018  FLA-LX3  Firmware  FLA-LX3

9.1.0.121(C605E5R1P1T8)  dload" and verify the Main and Customized Data
Packages:

Step 2.4. Copy the “dload” folder to the microSD Card root directory.

Step 3. Procedure.

Step 3.1. Power off the phone and insert the microSD card.

Step 3.2. Press and hold "Volume Up + Volume Down + Power" buttons simultaneously
during 15 seconds approximately for the phone to automatically enter the upgrade
mode and perform the upgrade.

Step 3.3. The Smartphone displays the upgrade progress from 0% to 100% until "Update
sucess" message appears, then it is automatically restarted.

Step 3.4. After reboot make a basic setting up, connect to the local Wi-Fi Network, go to the
path "Settings  System  System update" and verify the new Firmware version
installed is FLA-LX3 9.1.0.121(C605E5R1P1T8).
