Product features Applications

Groutec P is a fully-grouted mechanical splicing system
designed for the connection of precast concrete ele-
ments. It is designed and manufactured in compliance
with Eurocode 2, ISO15835, ACI318, IBC and AASHTO.
Bene�ts
Groutec P is designed for wet connections of precast elements
either horizontally or vertically and the connection of pile cages.
In horizontal and vertical applications the Groutec P sleeve
is used to connect the top and bottom element through the
protruding reinforcement bar. The full performance of the con-
nection is achieved by injecting the grout through the inlet pipe.

• No threading or other bar end preparation re-
quired thanks to the fully grouted design.
• Simple connection of two precast elements
through an optimized wet connection.
The sleeve can be �xed to the reinforcement bars through a
locking bolt that ensures that the sleeve stays in position during
installation.

available from major manufacturers meeting the
following minimum speci�cations:
• Compressive strength : ≥ 70 MPa after 28 days
as per ASTM C109 (50 mm cube)
• Flowability: high owability
• Shrinkage: non-shrinking
• Setting time ≥ 30 min
• Aggregate size ≤ 2mm

Erect the 2nd concrete member. The gap
between the bars should not be more
than 30 mm.
Slide the Groutec P over the continuation
bars of the 2nd member until it is accurately
positioned between the marks. Tighten the
screws on each side of the sleeve to lock it
into position.
Inject the mixed grout with a pump into
the inlet port of the Groutec P sleeve. Af-
ter grouting keep relevant supports for
the concrete members in place until the
grout has reached its minimum compres-
sive strength and protect the sleeve from
vibrations and shocks.

All Groutec P sleeves are marked with a code that
includes the batch number, allowing Dextra to retrieve,
among other data, the following information:
