Motivational Activity (Prior Questioning) (05 minutes)
Activity Instructions:
In order to trigger out curiosity of learning in students, Student-teacher will ask some thrilling
questions from students so that they can get motivated and feel energetic in the class.
Questions are followed as under:

1. What is language?
2. How do we learn to read and write a language?
3. What do you mean by Grammar? And what is its importance?

Teaching Session: Lecture (25 minutes)


Student-teacher will commence by engaging students in an interactive discussion about the
definition of grammar and its significance in language. Emphasize the components of
grammar such as letters, words, sentences, and phrases, ensuring that students understand
their roles in constructing meaningful language.
Transitioning from theory to application, the student-teacher will facilitate a discussion on the
practical relevance of grammar in daily life. Using relatable examples, encourage students to
identify instances where grammar plays a crucial role in effective communication, both
spoken and written.
Utilizing the inductive teaching method, present students with sentences demonstrating
grammatical errors and guide them through the process of identifying and correcting these
errors. For instance, present sentences like "I eat meal" and "eat I meal," prompting students
to analyze the structure and determine the correct sentence formation. Encourage peer
discussion and collaboration to reinforce understanding.
Assessment
Assessment Activity 01: Reflective Discussion (5 minutes)
Following the discussion on the practical application of grammar, initiate a reflective
discussion to assess students' understanding of why grammar is essential. Encourage each
student to articulate one reason why learning grammar is valuable, fostering participation and
critical thinking.
Assessment Activity 02: Formative Inquiry (5 minutes)
Incorporate a formative inquiry activity where students are tasked with providing written
definitions of key grammar terms discussed during the session. Distribute paper and pencils,
and ask students to define concepts such as grammar, language, letter, word, and sentence.
Collect and review their responses to gauge comprehension and provide targeted
feedback as needed.

A: It is art of putting right words in right places is called
grammar.

Q: What is Letter?
A: Every symbol of English Alphabet is called letter.
‫انگريزي الفابيٽ جي هر هڪ نشانيء کي اکر چئبو آهي‬.

Q: What are Vowels and Consonants?


‫حرف علت ۽ حرف صحيح ڇا آهن؟‬
A: The English Alphabet consists twenty six letters. These letters
are divided into Vowels and Consonants. A Vowel can be sounded
by itself but a consonant cannot be sounded without help of
Vowels.

A: A group of letters which shows meaning is called word.

Q: What is sentence?
A: A group of words which makes complete sense is called
sentence.
‫لفظن جو اهو ميڙ جيڪو مڪمل معني ظاهر ڪري ان کي جملو چئبو آهي‬.

Q: What is Phrase?
‫فقرو ڇا آهي؟‬
A: A group of words which makes sense but not complete sense is
called phrase.
‫لفظن جو اهو ميڙ جيڪو معني ظاهر ڪري پر اها مڪمل نه هجي ان کي فقرو چئبو آهي‬.
