What is Self-Service Password Reset?

alfanar Group IT team has enhanced the Microsoft Azure Premium Active Directory Connectivity to avail
self-service password reset (SSPR) functionality by enabling the ability to reset your own password.
SSPR gives users the ability to change or reset their password, with no administrator or help desk
involvement. If your account is locked or you forget your password, you can follow prompts (on-screen
instructions) to unblock yourself and get back to work.
This enhanced ability shall reduce helpdesk/support tickets/calls and minimize loss of productivity when
a user cannot sign into their device.

Steps to Unlock your Account.

Same steps as above and you can retain your old password by selecting the option “I know my
password, but I can’t sign in.”

Change Phone number for MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) Or Add Authenticator App

*Note: To change Phone number, an SMS/Call will be made to your registered OLD phone to authenticate.
If your registered OLD phone is not available to receive SMS/Call, then you need to contact IT for help.

Getting error while resetting the password or unlocking the account?

Below errors related internet connectivity might come while resetting the password or unlocking your account.
Solution: Check your internet connection or restart computer to resolve any connectivity issue.
