SAFE WORK METHOD FOR WELDING AND CUTTING PROCESS:

1. Follow all safety and operating procedures for setting up welding and heating nozzles
2. Follow all safety and operating procedures for setting up cylinders and regulators
3. Before starting work, always check all the hoses and regulators for any leakages
4. Always keep cylinder secured properly in a vertical position
5. Do not strike, drop or apply heat to any cylinder or valve
6. Remove or protect flammable substances including oxygen and fuel hoses, before starting
the work. This is to avoid fire explosion
7. Keep proper fire extinguisher at your work station and know how to use the fire extinguisher
8. Always wear protective clothing and proper goggles to shield your eyes
9. Always point the flame away from the people, equipment and all flammable materials
10. Never open and light the fuel gas and oxygen at the same time
11. If you experience a sustained backfire when the flame is burning inside the nozzle,
immediately turn off the oxygen valve on the torch handle and then turn off the fuel valve
12. Shut off the oxygen valve on the torch handle and then turn off the fuel valve
13. Close both cylinders valves
14. Avoid operating the equipment in rooms with fire sprinkle system unless there is sufficient
ventilation to keep the area cool
15. Close valves completely prior to remove both the valves
