This document provides an overview of features and enhancements included in release D. It is intended solely
to help you assess the business benefits of upgrading to D and planning for the implementation and upgrade
of the product features described.

Business Background
You can use Alerts Composer to notify workers and managers on expired and expiring licenses and certifications.
Use the following templates to configure the notifications:
Template Package Purpose Default Filter Criteria to Send
Notifications
Talent Profile Item Expiry.zip Notify about licenses and days – You can change the
certifications that are about to expire. filter criteria based on business
need.
Example: If the filter criteria is
set for days, notifications
would be sent for licenses and
certifications that are about
expire in days.
Talent Profile Item Expired.zip Notify about licenses and
certifications that have already
expired.

The template packages need to be imported separately. The example below shows the steps to upload one
template.

Import Template Package into Target Environment


. Go to the target environment where the template needs to be imported.
. In Settings and Actions, select Setup and Maintenance ->Tasks ->Manage Configuration Packages.

. Click on Upload and select the sample alert (template package) to be uploaded.

. Click on Get Details ->Submit.

. After the template package is imported, click on Import Setup Data.

. In Enter Basic Information, click on Next.


. In Select Pauses for External Import, click on Next.
. In Schedule and Notifications, click on Submit.

. Refresh the status.

. After import of setup data is completed successfully, click on Done.

Review Imported Template in Alerts Composer Tool


. Navigate back to your home screen.
. Select Tools ->Alerts Composer.

. Search for the alert.

. To edit the alert, in the Actions drop down option, select Edit.
We recommend that you create a copy of the imported alert before making changes to it. You can edit
the filters, templates, and run options. For example, you can:
 Edit the number of days for certification expiry in the expression, to define when the notification
needs to be sent.

 Customize the text to be used in an email notification and worklist on the Templates tab page.
 Schedule the alert on the Run Options tab page. If this is set to On Demand, you need to
manually run the Alert when required.

. To ensure that the alert is configured successfully, check the alerts history.
