MANDATORY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES IS ATTACHED
(Candidates are to present a coloured copy of E- Admit Card at the Exam Centre, failing which
candidature will be cancelled)
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Candidates are to report at the Examination centre as per specified Date and Time. Candidates will not
be permitted to appear in the examination after commencement of examination. Request for change of
Examination Centre, Date and shift will not be entertained.

2. Coast Guard reserves the right to cancel the examination at a particular centre due to
administrative/technical reasons even after issue of E-Admit card. In such scenario the candidates will
accordingly be directed to report at the examination centre on any other day or venue. Coast Guard will
not bear the transportation/boarding and lodging charges on account of change of examination centre or
examination date.

3. Candidates are to bring the following documents at the Stage-I examination centre:-
(a) Valid original identity proof as submitted in application/mentioned in E-Admit card.
(b 01 Coloured printout of E-Admit card (Black & White not allowed).
(c 02 in no. passport size colour photographs with similar facial features as uploaded in the
online application (Candidate carrying only one coloured photograph will not be allowed).
(d SC/ST candidates to bring original caste certificate and 02 photocopy of self-attested SC/ST
certificate, original train/bus ticket, cancelled cheque leaf for NEFT payment and travel form
downloaded for claiming TA.

Note:- (i) Candidates will be allowed to enter in the examination hall only with documents as
mentioned above. The name of the candidate & date of birth in the E-Admit card has to be the
same as per the ID card (details as mentioned in the E-Admit card), failing which their candidature
will be cancelled. The candidates to check various examples for filling of name, identity card
number on https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in/docVerificationExample.html prior filling online
application. The decision of ICG will be final and binding on the candidate regarding the eligibility
of the candidate to appear for examination at Stage-I.

(ii) The Date of Birth of the candidates appearing for the Stage-I examination will be cross
checked/verified with the Identity proof brought/as uploaded by the candidates as mentioned in E-
Admit card. At time of verification of identity proofs, in case Date of Birth is not mentioned in the
respective ID proof then the same will not be considered. Further, if only year of birth is
mentioned in the identity proof then only year of birth will be checked. In case of any mismatch in
the date of birth of the candidate is found against the ID proof uploaded by the candidate and the
date of birth entered by the candidate in the application form or the ID proof produced by the
candidate at the centre, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled.

4. The entry of the candidates inside the examination Hall will be subjected to biometric recording,
photography and signature on attendance sheet prior commencement of the examination. If candidate is
found as imposter, his candidature will be cancelled and FIR/ Criminal Proceedings will be initiated
against the applicant and the proxy candidate. The biometric recording at Stage-I cannot be waived off
and the candidature will be cancelled.

5. The candidates should note that their admission to the examination will be purely provisional
based on the information given by them in the Application Form. This will be subject to verification of
all the eligibility conditions as mentioned by Indian Coast Guard in the advertisement. The mere fact that
an Admit Card has been issued to a candidate, will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally
cleared by Indian Coast Guard or that entries made by the candidate in his/her application for the stage I
(CGCAT) have been accepted by Indian Coast Guard as true and correct. Candidates may note that the
Indian Coast Guard takes up the verification of eligibility conditions of a candidate, with reference to
original documents, only after the candidate has qualified for the Stage II, Stage III and Stage IV. Unless
the candidate is formally confirmed by the Indian Coast Guard in service after verification of documents
from the respective boards/ universities, his candidature continues to be provisional. The decision of the
Indian Coast Guard as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Examination shall
be final.
EXAMINATION GUIDELINES

1. Exam Dress Code: -

(a) On the exam day, candidates will have to wear slippers/ sandals with flat heels. Closed footwear like shoes
are not allowed in the exam centres. Candidates will be directed to remove the shoes prior entering the
computer based examination hall subject to weather conditions. The decision of invigilators will be final
and binding regarding wearing or not wearing of shoes and socks during the examination.

(b) Clothes with large buttons & full sleeves/ long sleeves/ Jackets etc. are not permitted.

(c) Candidates are not allowed to wear wristwatch, smartband, bracelets, ornaments, caps, wallets,
handbags etc.

(d) Those who wear specific attire for religious purposes will be required to report to the exam hall half
an hour prior the reporting time for mandatory frisking.

2. Examination Centre Etiquettes: -

(a) Any textual material, electronic devices (calculator, scanner, phone, watch of any kind and/or
in any form, etc.) and stationery items (pen, pencil, pencil-box, geometry box, plastic pouch,
etc.) are not allowed inside the examination centre. Any infrigement of these instructions shall
lead to cancellation of candidature and entail disciplinary action including ban from future
examination and FIR/ Criminal Proceedings will be initiated.

(b) Eatable items such as chips, chocolates, water bottles are not allowed in the examination hall.

(c) Blank paper for rough work along with writing material will be provided in the examination hall.
Candidates must write their name and hall ticket number at the top of their sheet. This sheet along
with writing material needs to be returned to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.

(d) Candidate to occupy his respective seat immediately post registration till completion of examination.
The candidate shall not leave his examination seat till completion of examination. If the candidate
stands from his seat post registration without permission of invigilator then his candidature will be
cancelled.

Note:- Non-compliance to examination guidelines above will lead to cancellation of candidature.


Before entering the examination hall

1. Candidates need to report to their exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card
so as to avoid any crowding at the centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distancing.

2. Candidates are to stand on the mark made on the floor while in queue.

3. Candidates are to avoid all non-essential movement outside and inside the exam centre premises. No
gathering is permitted.

4. Candidates need to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other at all times. Follow the
instructions given by centre staff.

After examination

1. On completion of a shift, the candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner one by
one.

2. Candidates are to wait for instructions from invigilator and not to get up from seat until advised.
