sensor?
A humidity sensor (or hygrometer) senses,
measures, and reports both moisture and air
temperature. When it measures the humidity in its
environment, it converts its findings into a
corresponding electrical signal.
These sensors vary widely in size and functionality; some humidity sensors
can be found in handheld devices (such as smartphones), while others are
integrated into larger embedded systems (such as air quality monitoring
systems). Humidity sensors are commonly used in the meteorology,
medical, automobile, HVAC (Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning) and
manufacturing industries. Humidity sensors work by detecting changes
that alter electrical currents or temperature in the air.

There are three basic types of humidity sensors:
Capacitive
Resistive
Thermal
All three types of sensors monitor minute changes in the atmosphere in order to
calculate the humidity in the air.
1. CAPACITIVE
ADVANTAGES:
Easy to Use.
Portability.
Cheap and Easily Available.
DIGITAL HUMIDITY
AND
TEMEPErATURE
SENSOR (DHT22)
Digital Humidity and Temperature Sensor (DHT22)
ADVANTAGES:
Better Humidity Measuring Range
More Accurate
Higher Range of Temperature
In conclusion, in all aspects, the DHT22 beats the DHT11. This
includes humidity accuracy, humidity range temperature
accuracy, and temperature range. DHT22 has just one
downside, which is its higher price compared to that of DHT11.
