‫ִמי ֶׁשֵּבַר ְך ֲאבֹוֵת ינּו‬

MEE sheh-beh-RAHKH ah-voh-TEHY-noo
He Who blessed our forefathers

,‫ַאְבָר ָהם ִיְצָחק ְוַיֲעֹקב‬

ahv-rah-HAHM, yeets-KHAHK, və-yah-ah-KOHV,
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,

‫הּוא ְיָבֵר ְך ֶאת‬

HOO yə-vah-REHKH EHT
may He bless

,‫ַחָּיֵלי ְצָבא ַהֲהַגָּנה ְלִיְׂשָר ֵאל‬

khah-yah-LEHY tsə-VAH hah-hah-gah-NAH lə-yees-rah-EHL,
the soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces,

‫ָהעֹוְמִד ים ַעל ִמְׁשַמר ַאְר ֵצנּו‬

hah-oh-mə-DEEM AHL meesh-MAHR ahr-TSEH-noo
Who stand on guard for our land

,‫ְוָעֵר י ֱאֹלֵהינּו‬
və-ah-REHY eh-loh-HEHY-noo,
and the cities of our God,

‫ִמְּגבּול ַהְּלָבנֹון‬
mee-gə-VOOL hah-lə-vah-NOHN
from the border of Lebanon

,‫ְוַעד ִמְד ַּבר ִמְצַר ִים‬

və-AHD meed-BAHR meets-RAH-yeem,
and to the desert of Egypt,

‫ּוִמן ַהָּים ַהָּגדֹול‬

oo-MEEN hah-YAHM hah-gah-DOHL
and from the Mediterranean Sea

,‫ַעד ְלבֹוא ָהֲעָר ָבה‬

AHD lə-VOH hah-ah-rah-VAH,
to the approach of the Arava,

.‫ ָּבֲאִויר ּוַבָּים‬,‫ַּב ַּיָּבָׁשה‬

bah-yah-bah-SHAH, bah-ah-VEER oo-vah-YAHM.
on the ground, in the air and on the sea.

‫ִיֵּת ן ְיָי ֶאת אֹוְיֵבינּו‬

yee-TEHN ah-doh-NAHY EHT oh-yə-VEHY-noo
May the Lord cause our enemies

‫ַהָּקִמים ָעֵלינּו‬
hah-kah-MEEM ah-LEHY-noo
who rise up against us

.‫ִנָּגִפים ִלְפֵניֶהם‬
nee-gah-FEEM leef-nehy-HEHM.
to be defeated before them.

‫ַהָּקדֹוׁש ָּברּוְך הּוא ִיְׁשֹמר‬

hah-kah-DOSH bah-ROOKH HOO yeesh-MOHR
May the Holy One, Blessed is He, guard

‫ְו ַיִּציל ֶאת ַחָיֵלינּו‬

və-yah-TSEEL EHT khah-yah-LEHY-noo
and rescue our soldiers

,‫ִמׇּכ ל ָצָר ה ְוצּוָקה‬

mee-KOHL tsah-RAH və-tsoo-KAH,
from every trouble and distress,

,‫ּוִמׇּכ ל ֶנַגע ּוַמֲחָלה‬

oo-mee-KOHL NEH-gah oo-mah-khah-LAH,
and from every affliction and disease,

‫ְוִיְׁשַלח ְּבָר ָכה ְוַהְצָלָחה‬

və-yeesh-LAHKH bə-rah-KHAH və-hahts-lah-KHAH
and may He send blessing and success

.‫ְּבָכל ַמֲעֵׂשה ְיֵד יֶהם‬

bə-KHOHL mah-ah-SEH yə-dehy-HEHM.
in all their handiwork.

,‫ַיְד ֵּבר ׂשֹוְנֵאינּו ַּת ְחֵּת יֶהם‬

yahd-BEHR soh-nə-EHY-noo tahkh-tehy-HEHM,
May He subdue under them those that hate us,

‫ִויַעְּטֵר ם ְּבֶכֶת ר ְיׁשּוָעה‬

vee-aht-REHM bə-KHEH-tehr yə-shoo-AH
and adorn them with a crown of salvation

.‫ּוַבֲעֶטֶר ת ִנָּצחֹון‬
oo-vah-ah-TEH-reht nee-tsah-KHOHN.
and a tiara of victory.

‫ִויֻקַּים ָּבֶהם ַהָּכתּוב‬

vee-koo-YAHM bah-HEHM hah-kah-TOOV

And may it be fulfilled in them the verse

‫"ִּכי ְיָי ֱאֹלֵהיֶכם‬

“kee ah-doh-NAHY eh-loh-hehy-KHEHM

hah-hoh-LEHKH ee-mah-KHEHM,

the One that goes with you,

‫ְלִהָּלֵחם ָלֶכם ִעם ֹאְיֵביֶכם‬

lə-hee-lah-KHEHM lah-KHEHM EEM oh-yə-vehy-KHEHM

to do battle for you with your enemies

‫ד‬:‫ דברים כ‬-- ."‫ְלהֹוִׁשיַע ֶאְת ֶכם‬

lə-hoh-SHEE-ah eht-KHEHM.”

to save you". -- Deuteronomy 20:4

."‫ "ָאֵמן‬:‫ְוֹנאַמר‬
və-noh-MAHR: “ah-MEHN.”

‫ִיֵּת ן ְיָי ֶאת אֹוְיֵבינּו ַהָּקִמים ָעֵלינּו ִנָּגִפים‬

‫ִלְפֵניֶהם‪ַ .‬הָּקדֹוׁש ָּברּוְך הּוא ִיְׁשֹמר ְו ַיִּציל ֶאת‬
‫ַחָיֵלינּו ִמׇּכ ל ָצָר ה ְוצּוָקה ‪ּ,‬וִמׇּכ ל ֶנַגע ּוַמֲחָלה‪,‬‬
‫ְוִיְׁשַלח ְּבָר ָכה ְוַהְצָלָחה ְּבָכל ַמֲעֵׂשה ְיֵד יֶהם‪.‬‬
‫ַיְד ֵּבר ׂשֹוְנֵאינּו ַּת ְחֵּת יֶהם‪ִ ,‬ויַעְּטֵר ם ְּבֶכֶת ר ְיׁשּוָעה‬
‫ּוַבֲעֶטֶר ת ִנָּצחֹון‪ִ .‬ויֻקַּים ָּבֶהם ַהָּכתּוב‪ִּ" ,‬כי ְיָי‬
‫ֱאֹלֵהיֶכם ַה ֹהֵלְך ִעָּמֶכם‪ְ ,‬לִהָּלֵחם ָלֶכם ִעם‬
‫ֹאְיֵביֶכם ְלהֹוִׁשיַע ֶאְת ֶכם"‪( .‬דברים כ‪:‬ד)‬

‫ְוֹנאַמר‪ָ" :‬אֵמן"‪.‬‬

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and

Jacob, may He bless the soldiers of the Israeli Defense
Force, who stand on guard for our land and the cities of
our God, from the border of Lebanon and to the desert of
Egypt, and from the Mediterranean Sea to the approach of
the Arava, on the ground, in the air and on the sea.

May the Lord cause our enemies who rise up against us to

be defeated before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is
He, guard and rescue our soldiers from every trouble and
distress, and from every affliction and disease, and may
He send blessing and success in all their handiwork. May
He subdue our enemies under them, and adorn them with
a crown of salvation and a tiara of victory. And may it be
fulfilled in them the verse, “Because the Lord your God is
the One that goes with you, to do battle for you with your
enemies to save you". (Deuteronomy 20:4)

And let us say: "Amen".
