United States Capitol Police Officer Jillian Funkhouser, mobile telephone

number was interviewed via Microsoft Teams video conference.
After being advised of the identity of the interviewing Agent and the
nature of the interview, Funkhouser provided the following information:

Funkhouser recalled describing the events which took place on the lower
west terrace of the United States Capitol building on January 6, 2021 during
a previous interview with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. While
forming a perimeter around other Officers who were scuffling with a
protester, Funkhouser and her fellow Officers were sprayed with bear mace.
Much of Funkhouser's visor was covered with mace when she ran towards the
protester who sprayed the mace. Funkhouser recalled being full of
adrenaline and tripping while chasing after the protester.

The interviewing Agent then played a video taken on January 6, 2021 on

the grounds of the United States Capitol. Funkhouser identified herself as
the female Officer in the video. After seeing herself being tripped in the
video, Funkhouser commented she was not aware anyone tripped her. Until
now, she thought it was strange that she tripped running after the protester
that day. She recalled being aware of her surroundings and she was
usually sure of foot. She believed she did not see the individual dressed
in black trip her because of the mace on her mask and because she was
focused on the protester who sprayed the mace.

Funkhouser identified the Officer who assisted her after she fell as
Anthony Booth.

Funkhouser had not seen this video before this interview, nor any other
videos of this specific incident.

The interviewing Agent showed Funkhouser a map of the Capitol grounds.

Funkhouser did not sustain serious physical injuries as a result of being

tripped.

A copy of the video and map shown to Funkhouser during the interview will
be maintained in the lA section of the captioned investigation.
