Congratulations! You’re in! You have officially been accepted to Kirkwood Community College, and we’re
excited for you to start classes. We have your program listed as Psychology for the Spring 2024 (Jan. - May)

Here’s what comes next:

 Set up your Kirkwood account. Below you will see your k-number. This is your official student ID
number that you will use to set up your Kirkwood account. It will enable you to complete a number of
important next steps, including accessing your Kirkwood email, registering for New Student
Orientation, and more. You can set up your Kirkwood account by visiting www.kirkwood.edu/setup.

 Review your New Student Checklist. Once you’ve set up your account, you’ll be able to access
MyHub, Kirkwood’s student portal. There, you’ll see your New Student Checklist, which contains
your upcoming action items as a Kirkwood student. Visit www.kirkwood.edu/newstudent to see
yours.
o For tuition rate purposes, your residency status can also be found in MyHub.
o If you indicated that English is not your native language on your application, your next steps
may differ slightly. You’ll receive a separate email with your next steps.

 Watch for an introduction to your academic major/program. You’ll be hearing from the academic
department to which you applied soon. This introduction will include important information about
your major/program, what comes next, and who to contact if you have specific questions about your
academic major/program. Please be on the lookout for this important communication.
