In recent years, there has been a notable surge in the integration of Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) in educational settings. According to Sharma et al. (2011),
ICT helps facilitate the transaction between producers and users by keeping the students
engaged and enhancing teachers' capacity, fostering live contact between the teacher and
student. Additionally, as highlighted by Bhasin, Bandhana(2012), the use of technology in
the teaching-learning process greatly contributes to meeting student needs for learning
anywhere, anytime. According to Ramsey et al. (2006), ICT enabled students to ‘read’ and
revisit their learning, strengthening their identities as confident and competent learners
once again. Despite the potential benefits, challenges such as access disparities, technical
support, and digital literacy skills among educators and students need to be addressed to
ensure equitable implementation and maximize the effectiveness of ICT integration in
education.
How does the integration of ICT impact teaching methodologies and practices in educational
settings?
What are the effects of ICT integration on student engagement, collaboration, and learning
outcomes?
What challenges and barriers are faced by educators and students in implementing and
utilizing ICT in education?
