The upper-middle class is the social group constituted by higher-status

individuals of the middle class in society.

The main indicators in defining the upper-middle class are income, education,
and occupation. It makes up 14% of the US population, and 14% of Hondurans
as well.

Members of the upper-middle class are primarily high- income businesspeople

and professionals. People that belong in this social class typically work as
doctors, lawyers, engineers, dentists, and other professions.

The average income in America is around $89,745 (2,207,727L) - $149,131

(3,579,144L), while in Honduras it is of about 149,136L ($6,214) - 234,610L
($9,537).

Most have a high-school degree, a college education, and advanced degrees

such as a masters degree or a p. h. d. Their income gets them large houses,
expensive cars, yearly vacations, a college education for their children, and many
added luxuries (jewelry, paintings, newest electronic devices, etc).

Many members of the upper-middle class are socially and politically active.
However, the power and influence they hold is limited to their cities or
communities. It does not extend towards a national level.
