Honor before Honors

Dear Williams School Families, If you have not had the opportunity to get out and see one of our middle school sporting events, I would highly recommend the experience. On Thursday our girls volleyball team defeated Great Bridge Christian Academy in the tournament semi-finals. It was amazing to watch as our girls worked together in unison to strategize and set-up plays with seamless ease and ability. Truly a team effort! Our boys soccer team is a unified force as well but instead of playing the ball with their hands, they pass the ball with their feet. The communication that occurs on the field during the soccer matches promotes their team spirit and has resulted in a very successful soccer season for our middle school boys. The coming week is the culmination of the fall sports season and both our girls volleyball and boys soccer teams will be competing in tournament games. The boys first soccer tournament game will be held on Tuesday, November 1st at Bluebird Park @ 4:00 PM, with the final championship game on Thursday at Bluebird Park @ 4:00 PM. The girls volleyball championship game will also be held on Tuesday at Chesapeake Bay Academy at 5:15 PM. Please come on out and help us cheer on our middle school teams as they compete for the ETIS Tournament Championship Titles in soccer and volleyball. Have a great weekend! Melanie

Thanks to Debbie Adams, TWS now has a photo hosting site that is secure and allows parents to upload photos via email. The address for our site is thewilliamsschool.smugmug.com. It is a secure site, meaning our photos wont be found by an image search on the internet. The site is also branded with our school identification. The password to access our photo site is the school phone number (without the dash). You may view the galleries already uploaded. If you would like one of the pictures, simply right-click and choose save image as from your browser (PC directions) and choose the location on your computer where you would like to save the photo.

To upload photos via email, follow the steps below. Smugmug prefers the jpg (jpeg) format for your photos: 1. Compose an email containing one or more photos or attach the photos to the email and send to thewilliamsschool@email.smugmug.com. 2. Type your photo email password into the subject line (the school phone number is the password do not include the dash) 3. Type the photo's caption into the body of the email (optional). 4. Send. SmugMug will automatically create a gallery named "email" and place your photos in it. Once you upload, please send dladams@thewilliamsschool.org an email and let her know the category for your photos (such as family picnic or auction). Hopefully that will help us stay a little organized as I can then move the photos into galleries.
