Overall Comments - The thesis concerns design, analysis and testing a soft robot hand for
picking up fruits. The thesis and work presented are of high quality. The research problem, aim
and objectives are identified very clear. The literature review is comprehensive and in good
depth. The knowledge gap is well identified. The overall research methodology is appropriate.
The design, finite element analysis and experimental testing are good although the design is a
bit intuitive. It needs more details of calculation on the dimensions. Also justification on low-
cost. The conclusion is concise but address the point. The thesis is very well written. However,
the structure is a bit odd with some sessions like thesis structure and research programme.
There are no chapters mentioned in the thesis structure and research programme should be
consistent with the title of chapters defined. Overall, it is a very well researched MSc project.
The student has broadly met the requirement for MSc thesis.
