Vaivai was flushed to his left and then throwing back across the middle under duress,

Match Report; and on came Reedy-Bartlett for the shortest of short three pointers. His kick sailed
threw the uprights as time expired and Canberra had survived.
It was very much a tale of two halves with the Dolphins commanding a 17-0 halftime
lead after totally dominating the 1st two quarters. Tom Kelly and David Mack ran at
will whilst Luke Ogden again showed just why he is one of the favourites for the
Leagues MVP Medal, completing at 80% for the first half. Canberra seemed to have
little answers for the upstart visitors and the packed crowd had lost its voice.
Alec Cook was one who starred early and he scored early after Ogden threw a laser
down the left side and the ball bounced of the shoulder of Derion Kendrick
fortuitously into Cook for the score. Then Ogden was on point again as a wheel route
sprung open Niu Murphy and it was 14-0.
Canberra did have the chance to score first but Faava Reedy-Bartlett missed from
long range. Ogden then gave the ball up, coming under pressure from the pass rush
he elected to launch one deep to the end zone for big Bryce Sopi to go after only for
the pick by Sean Gibbs. No har, no foul here as the turnover was as good as a punt,
handing the ball over at the Canberra 1.
