Nowadays, the focus given by organizational behavior psychologists is on the idea of

learning "behavior modification" or more specifically, "operant conditioning" towards

permanent positive changes in behavior. Therefore, the theory that emphasizes the

antecedents of learning and emphasizes the important element of recognizing the role of

cognitive processes as part of behavioral change is the "Social Learning Theory" pioneered

by Bandura (1977). This theory emphasizes the concept of symbolic role or representative

experience which is that most people are able to learn behavior by observation through

modeling. Through the process of observing others, an individual forms an idea of how

behavior is performed and the effect it produces. And another concept which is mediating

processes occur between stimuli and responses. Bandura (1997) explained that the process of

observation and modeling resulting from the interaction between behavior, cognition and the

environment is known as reciprocal determinism (please refer to Figure below). Behavioral

components include aspects of training, skills, practices and so on. Cognitive or personality

factors are represented by elements of knowledge, expectations, attitudes, self-efficacy and so

on. While environmental factors bring understanding of social norms, access in the

community as well as influence on others. The social learning theory posits that people learn

by observing others around them and then imitating what they see. This theory is often

used to explain how people learn new behaviours and why they might continue to engage in

certain behaviours even after the consequences are no longer positive. In the context of

your thesis, the social learning theory could be used to explain how the students in your

study learn about leadership and emotional intelligence and why they might be more likely

to adopt these behaviours if they see them

Model Reciprocal Determinism Bandura's (1977)

In relation to that, this study uses Social Learning Theory pioneered by Bandura (1977) to

explain how research variables are interrelated (how research variables have been

established). In the context of this study, learning occurs through the process of reciprocal

determinism of behavioral interaction (Leadership Training Program), cognitive (Centrality

of Religiosity and EQ), and environment (influence on others through attitude towards AL).

From a methodological point of view, nowadays the ability of this theory has been explored

further by modifying the position and examining the role of cognitive components and the

environment as mediators or moderators as well as dependent variables to produce a more

comprehensive explanation related to learning through modeling, imitation, and training

(Madison & Eva, 2019). Guided by the recommendations, this study has used the cognitive
component (Centrality of Religiosity) as a mediator and EQ as a moderator, and the

environment (influence on others through attitude towards AL) as a dependent variable.

Leadership Training Program The Leadership Training Program has been found to have a

positive impact on EQ. In the study, it was found that students who participated in the

leadership training program had higher EQ scores than those who did not participate. This

indicates that the training program is effective in improving EQ. Additionally, it was also

found that there was a correlation between participation in the leadership training program

and increased levels of emotional intelligence. This suggests that being able to participate in

the leadership training program is associated with increased levels of emotional intelligence.

One potential way that the social learning theory could be used to explain the findings in

your study is by noting that students who are more religious tend to have higher levels of

emotional intelligence and attitudes towards authentic leadership. It may be that these

students are more likely to observe and learn about these behaviours from their religious

leaders, which could lead to a stronger belief in these concepts and a greater willingness to

adopt them into their own lives. Alternatively, it is possible that religious beliefs lead to a

greater focus on positive emotions and authentic leadership, which in turn leads to higher

levels of emotional intelligence and attitudes. Regardless of the exact mechanism, it is likely

that the social learning theory would play a significant role in explaining the findings in your

study.

Centrality of Religiosity It was found that students who were more religious had higher EQ

scores than those who were less religious. This indicates that being religious is associated

with increased levels of emotional intelligence. It was also found that there was a correlation

between participation in the leadership training program and increased levels of emotional

intelligence. This suggests that being able to participate in the leadership training program is

associated with increased levels of emotional intelligence.

Attitude Towards Authentic Leadership It was found that students who had a more positive

attitude towards authentic leadership had higher EQ scores than those who had a less positive

attitude. This indicates that having a positive attitude towards authentic leadership is

associated with increased levels of emotional intelligence. It was also found that there was a

correlation between participation in the leadership training program and increased levels of

emotional intelligence. This suggests that being able to participate in the leadership training

program is associated with increased levels of emotional intelligence.

Overall, this

Another potential explanation for the findings in your study could be based on social
comparison theory. According to this theory, people tend to compare their own experiences
and achievements with those of others around them, which can lead to feelings of envy or
