II. RATIONALE
Love, Courtship and Marriage Seminar serves as a vital platform for GNHS A.Y.E.
members to foster a deeper understanding of the significance of love, courtship, and
marriage within a framework guided by values rooted with good character traits. Recognizing
the pivotal role that relationships play in shaping individuals' lives, this seminar aims to
provide students with insights, wisdom, practical situations, and practical guidance on how to
approach these stages of life with integrity, respect, and a strong moral foundation.
III. OBJECTIVES
(b) Equip Students for Godly Courtship: To instill a deep understanding and appreciation
for the moral principles that underlie courtship. Through thoughtful discussions, interactive
activities, and guided reflections, we aim to empower students to navigate the complexities
of relationships with a strong foundation in good ethics. By emphasizing virtues such as
respect, integrity, and selflessness, this seminar seeks to equip students with the knowledge
and tools necessary to engage in courtship in a manner that aligns with good moral values,
ultimately fostering relationships characterized by Godly love and mutual growth.
[1] Students: The seminar holds profound significance for students by providing a
moral scope and ethical foundation for understanding relationships. It equips them
with valuable insights into love, courtship, and marriage from an ethical perspective.
It empowers students to integrate their values into their daily lives, such as respect,
commitment, trust, and responsibility as they prepare for future relationships.
[2] Teachers: For educators, the seminar offers a unique opportunity for professional
development and a deeper understanding of the challenges students face in
relationships. It equips teachers with tools to guide and support students through the
complexities of love, courtship, and marriage, enabling them to contribute to a
positive and values-driven school culture. By gaining insights into the mental and
emotional needs of students, teachers can better foster a supportive educational
environment that extends beyond academic growth to encompass personal
development.
[3] Parents: The seminar serves as a bridge for parents to connect with their children
on the topics of love, courtship, and marriage, fostering open communication within
families. It provides parents with a shared platform to discuss and reinforce family
values regarding relationships, empowering them to offer guidance in a supportive
manner. By addressing the challenges their children may face and aligning family
values with those of the community, parents can play an active role in shaping the
relational well-being of their children and contribute to a cohesive family unit.
[4] Community Members: Within the broader community, the seminar promotes
social cohesion by creating a space for individuals to come together, share
experiences, and learn from one another. It strengthens the sense of community by
addressing common concerns and values related to relationships, fostering a
supportive environment. As community members engage in discussions about love,
courtship, and marriage, the seminar becomes a catalyst for promoting healthy
societal values, contributing to the overall well-being of individuals and families. It
establishes a foundation for a united community committed to the principles of love
and commitment in relationships.
