The organization I appreciate is HSBC Group corporate, which is the biggest foreign bank in

Vietnam. They don't hesitate to introduce their goals, objectives and more.

To be successful, HSBC has many target in each year, we can read their Interim Report 2023
Return on average tangible equity (annualized): 22.4%
● Revised target: Mid-teens for 2023 and 2024, excluding the impact of material acquisitions and
disposals.
● Target basis operating expenses growth compared with 1H22 4.3% Target: Growth of
approximately 3% compared with 2022. This measure excludes from constant currency operating
expenses: notable items, the impact of retranslating the results of hyperinflationary economies at
constant currency and the impact of our acquisition of SVB UK and the related investments
internationally
● Common equity tier 1 capital ratio 14.7% Target: >14%, managing in the range of 14% to 14.5% in
the medium term; and manage the range down further long term.
● Second interim dividend per ordinary share for 1H23 $0.10 Target: Dividend payout ratio of 50%
for 2023 and 2024, excluding material notable items.
