In a spell of dry weather, when the Birds could find very little
to drink, a thirsty Crow found a pitcher with a little water in it. But the
pitcher was high and had a narrow neck, and no matter how he tried,
the Crow could not reach the water. The poor thing felt as if he must
die of thirst.
Then an idea came to him. Picking up some small pebbles,
he dropped them into the pitcher one by one. With each pebble the
water rose a little higher until at last it was near enough so he could
drink.

Lazatin awards ₱1M cash incentives to CLRAA winners

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on May 24, 2023
distributed ₱1.059 million worth of cash incentives to the Central
Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) winners.

The distribution was held at the Legislative Building, where the 93


student-athlete winners were present and greeted by Mayor Lazatin
personally.

Mayor Lazatin was assisted by the members of the City Nutrition


Office, led by Jermaine Jam Aguila.

“Congratulations student-athletes for bringing recognition and pride


to Angeles City,” Lazatin said.
Angeles City has garnered 21 gold, 19 silver, and 40 bronze medals
during the said annual sporting event last April 24 to 28.

Each gold medalist received ₱10,000; ₱7,000 for silver medalists and
₱5,000 each for bronze medalists.

“We have exhausted a budget from the Local School Board and
funds from the Office of the Mayor to accommodate giving these
cash incentives for them. They indeed deserve this,” Lazatin
furthered.

Lazatin also believes that these young breed of student-athletes will


soon represent not just Angeles City, but also the country.

Face-to-Face Is the Best

Face-to-face learning works well for majority of the school


children despite the dangers of the pandemic. It is here where
creative minds would meet, discussions are highly energized, and
group outputs showcase the learners talents and abilities. Real
learning can also be measured because there is no one inside the
classroom to coach for the answers instead, they need to join in the
discussion and work independently for their outputs.
