    My computer has started saving file in Last updated February 21, 2024

    notepad in stead PDF files. How to get rid Views 8,694

    of this problem? Applies to:

    Recently my computer has started saving PDF file with notepad. When I want to open a file I will get / /
    two options notepad and PDF. If I open with notepad I will get codes and if open with PDF it will
    work but I waste lot of time changing from one form to other. How to get rid of this problem?

    Do you have a PDF reader installed? It's not saving with Notepad, it's opening with
    Notepad.

    Right click on the file.


    Select: Open With from the pop-up menu.
    Click: Choose [default] Program.
    Select: Your PDF Reader.
    Check: Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
    Click OK.
