I. Objectives
 Content Standard:

structures of modification.

The learner skillfully delivers speech for a special occasion through utilizing effective verbal and
nonverbal strategies and ICT resources.
 MELC:
Use correct and appropriate multi-media resources when orally giving information, instructions, making
explanations and narrating events in personal or factual recounts. (EN70L-IV-e-3.10)
 Specific Objectives:
A. Identify the Basic Types of Multimedia.
B. Integrate the understanding of multimedia in given activities.
C. Appreciate the importance of multimedia.

media formats (people, text, visual, motion, audio, and
manipulative) in a given presentation or self-study.

The word multimedia comes from two Latin roots, multi


and media. Multi means several or many and media
means in the middle.

Also, multimedia can be recorded for played-back on


computers, laptops, smartphones, and other electronic
devices.

I am so glad that most of you are able to give some


examples of multimedia.

Now that we have already defined Multimedia, let us


proceed to the Basic Components of Multimedia.
