A
is 0.5 inch.
 ‌An A1 paper was taken and 1/2" border was drawn. The scale factor for enlargement was
160%. So, on the A1 paper, new grid lines were drawn and this time the difference was
0.85 inch from one grid line to another grid line. Then the enlarge map was drawn
following the reference map.
 ‌ y using the SF formula, the new RF was calculated.

Outcome:
Application & Conclusion :
A storytelling map is a dynamic and interactive way to convey information, stories or narratives
using geographic data and mapping technology.
Urban planners use storytelling maps to engage the public, visualize proposed projects and
explain zoning regulations. Travel agencies and tourism boards create interactive maps that
showcase tourist attractions, historical sites, hotels and restaurants. Conservation organisations
use storytelling maps to raise awareness about ecosystems, endangered species. Logistics
companies use storytelling maps to optimise delivery routes. Storytelling map helps to develop
future scenarios for the city’s future growth and transformation, using map to visualise potential
changes and development paths.
Incorporating storytelling maps into urban planning processes can bridge the gap between
technical data and public understanding. By presenting information in an engaging and
accessible manner, these maps can facilitate informed decision making, encourage collaboration
among stakeholders and ultimately lead to more sustainable and livable cities.
