 Evaluation- During evaluation, assessment results are analyzed and judged.

It is a judgment which a teacher

makes to find out whether or not the students achieved the learning outcomes.
---The period of evaluation is when the responses, marks and grades are analyzed and judged. Evaluation can be
defined as a judgment that we, as a teacher, make to determine whether or not the students achieved the learning
goals. To make the evaluation, we should use the results of several types of assessments. In most cases it would
be beneficial to determine the factors that led to your evaluation. When we reflect on the types of resources,
assessments, and instructional strategies you used, the information can indicate what was successful or not
helping your students.
 Factors that may affect the students’ assessment performance: lack of time, a language barrier, and/or invalid
scoring guide.
---Remember that our students might be prevented from demonstrating what they do know because of lack of
time, a language barrier, and/or invalid scoring guide. As a teacher we should evaluate our lessons. We may use
student feedback, student work, and your own reflection to evaluate the success of the lesson and/or teaching
practice
 Evaluation is done so as to make judgments.
---These questions may be asked.
 What is the overall result of the assessment?
--- Assessment results are the final outcome of evaluating a situation, performance, or data, providing a
comprehensive understanding and aiding in informed decision-making based on the findings. The assessment
highlights areas of strength and areas that require improvement, providing valuable insights for further
development.
 What is the performance of a particular pupil?
--- Performance evaluation involves assessing a student's academic achievements, including grades, test scores,
and understanding, to identify strengths and weaknesses, provide targeted support, and enhance their learning
experience.
 What were the responses to particular questions?
--- The evaluation sought to gather feedback on specific topics or situations, aiming to understand students'
viewpoints through varied responses to questions, indicating satisfaction or disagreement.
 What pedagogical decisions should I take now based on the assessment results?
---Analyzing assessment data helps identify patterns, tailor teaching methods, and align pedagogical decisions
with learning objectives to improve outcomes and address individual strengths and weaknesses.

When we evaluate, we make judgments on learning and teaching based on the monitoring and assessment of
lessons and learning.

There is need to thus record and monitoring, assessment and pupils’ progress for effective feedback and
quality learning.
