3. Mary wants to compare the boiling point of sugar solution with that of salt solution. Below are the
procedures of her experiment.
Step 1: Measure 10 g of sugar with a balance
Step 2: Measure 100 cm3 of water with a measuring cylinder.
Step 3: Transfer the water into a beaker.
Step 4: Dissolve the sugar into the beaker and stir the solution with a glass rod.
Step 5: Heat the solution with a Bunsen burner.
Step 6: Record the temperature when the sugar solution boils.
Step 7: Repeat steps 1 to 6 by using 15 g of salt instead of the sugar.
