Winning an Oscar

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I want to thank the academy, the brilliant minds
who have dedicated their lives to the art of cinema, for this award I am receiving tonight. I
want to thank our studio and the talented crew that brought this film to life. Thank you to the
other nominees for their stellar performances, and a thank you to our director, Martika
Ramirez Escobar, for bringing the whole thing together.
I also want to thank my mom, brother, and two sisters for being there for me every step of the
way. I appreciate them for being my rocks in the stormy sea of the entertainment industry.
Most importantly, I want to thank God. Without him, I wouldn’t have been able to get the
opportunity to audition for the leading role in this film. While here in front of you all, I hope
to tell you three things. Who do I look up to, what's my plan for the future, and my message to
the people?
As a child, the people I looked up to were the people who could accomplish heroic acts like the
Police stopping criminals, Fire-fighters putting out house fires, and Doctors saving lives.
These people were my heroes growing up. I didn't choose to be one of them because acting
offers exciting opportunities to portray interesting characters and work in unconventional
environments.
Secondly, I hope to grow more as a person and an actor. I plan to donate a sum of my money to
climate change foundations, homeless people foundations, and environmental foundations.
These foundations don't receive the funding that they need. Finally, I'd like to dedicate this
award to all of the dreamers out there who dared to envision, create, and overcome obstacles.
This honour belongs to everyone who has ever believed in the transformational power of art.
In a world often divided by differences, stories have the remarkable ability to unite us.
Once again, I thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for this incredible honor.
