Preparation for Test


1. Check fuse F4–3, 11.
2. Battery voltage 11 – 14 V.
3. Vehicle unlocked.
4. All doors and trunk lid closed.
5. Window on driver’s door open.

Preparation for Test Electrical wiring diagrams


1. Connect impulse counter scan tool or Hand-Held Tester (HHT) to See Electrical Troubleshooting Manual, Model 140.
X11/4, according to diagram, see section 0.

Notes:
1. Read out Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s) and record.
2. Rectify faults according to table.
3. Interrupt voltage to PSE control module for approx. 3 seconds,
to erase the safety memory.

Preparation for Test: Electrical wiring diagrams


1. Check fuses F2-5, F4-3 and F4-11. See Electric Troubleshooting Manual, Model 140, Volume 2.
2. Battery voltage 11 – 14 V.
3. Provide access to PSE control module (A37, A37/1).
4. Connect socket box with test cable according to connection
diagram, see 22 Figure 1.
Note:
After completion of testing, erase the PSE control module’s diagnostic
trouble code (DTC) memory, see section 0.

Preparation for Test:
1. Pry off all pneumatic lines from pneumatic multiple connector (using a 7 Note:
mm open end wrench). The connections on the PSE control module and pneumatic multiple
2. Plug all connections on the upper side of the pneumatic multiple connector are marked with their German acronyms. In other words:
connector with plugs (part no. 124 805 02 44). ZV (German) = CL (English),
3. Connect vacuum/pressure tester to the bottom side of the pneumatic RH (German) = BA (English),
multiple connector to test the individual connections FKS (German) = RHR (English),
ZV, RH, FKS, SFG, PU, PÜ SFG (German) = RTG (English),
PÜ/P+ (OSL) (German) = PÜ/P+ (OSB) (English),
PU/P- (SRU) (German) = PU/P- (MVA) (English).
