Extraneous Variable: Factors such as the quality of the CCTV systems, the training of the
personnel monitoring the systems, the lighting conditions of the streets, the population
density, and the existing crime rate in the area.

The What: This research is about studying the effectiveness of CCTV systems in solving
street crimes in Barangay Cogon Ormoc City.

The Who: The subjects of this study would be the local law enforcement agencies, the CCTV
operators, and the residents of Barangay Cogon Ormoc City.

The How: The research could be conducted by collecting and analyzing data on the number
of street crimes solved before and after the implementation of the CCTV systems. Interviews
or surveys could also be conducted with law enforcement and residents to gather qualitative
data.

The Where: The research will be conducted in Barangay Cogon Ormoc City, Philippines.

The Interrelationship: The study aims to understand the relationship between the use of
