THE HUNTER AND THE MAGIC

A fter the hunter and the girl had

gathered up the most Precious jewels
on the mountain, the hunter, whose
eyes had been made heavy and Weary by the
magic of the witch sat down to rest and
immediately fell asleep

W hen he was in a sound slumber

the girl unfasten the wishing
mantle from his shoulders put it
over her own, and up the diamonds rubies
and pearls, wished herself at home.
Immediately she disappeared.

W hen the hunter awoke, he saw the

trick girl had played on him and
that he was alone and deserted
on a s strand mountain.

N or did he know he would find his way

down fromthere.but soon he saw three
wicked looking giants coming towards
him and having way to escape he lay down again
and pretended to be asleep
