BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

I. Vision and Mission Statement

A. Vision

To establish ourselves as the industry standard in burger quality, taste, and innovation. To be the restaurant of choice
by consistently meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations for both food quality and value. We aim to become everyone’s
go-to eatery.

B. Mission

To become an integral part of people’s routines by catering delicious meals of superior quality at prices that are
affordable to them. And to develop a strong relationship with the customer by delivering outstanding service while maintaining
honesty and responsibility.

C. Objectives

1. Customers should be able to enjoy affordable or low-cost gastronomic choices at the restaurant.
2. To provide high-quality foods and beverages in every serving that will undoubtedly satisfy customer’s cravings.
3. Maintain the restaurant’s profitability at all times.
4. To become famous as a restaurant that is known for serving burgers of high quality and to have many branches
all over the world.

II. Business Overview

A. Business Concept

We Filipinos love to eat, and one of our favorite foods is a tasty and beefy burger. Since we Filipinos are known for
our industrious attitude. Many of us spend almost a whole day on our jobs, and students in school especially those students
who strive for academic success. We are so hard working that sometimes we give insufficient attention to the things that keep
us productive which is the good. We often skip meals or look for instant foods. Filipinos usually crave and eat burger because
it is delicious, and it fills us up fast. With, our team created a product that is very usual for Filipino to crave but with a twist.

Originating in the United States and Germany, the burger was introduced to the Filipinos by the Americans when they
came to the islands during the Spanish-American War. Once adopted by the locals, the burger became widely popular, and
many locals started making their own. A burger is a flat round mass of minced meat or vegetables, which is fried and often
eaten in a bread roll.

There are a lot of people who take pleasure in eating burgers and the sides that come with them, but some burger
joints serve patties with flavors that are virtually the same because they use the same meat or other ingredients. We decided
to open a burger shop because we want to invent a new type of burger that uses a patty that is different from the usual kind
of patty. In addition, our burger will be accompanied by a selection of tasty side dishes, and it will be served alongside
refreshing fruit drinks that are excellent for one's health.

Burger 'N Bites is about to give the burger you know and love a makeover. You will discover new patty flavors that
are unique and unfamiliar to your taste buds here at our restaurant, but we guarantee that once you try them, this will be the
burger you seek out again and again. The deliciousness of our patty, served in two different ways, will be more than enough
to satisfy all our customers.

As students, the most important things we consider is our time because we must meet many deadlines and such. We
always experience eating while doing activities and meeting deadlines and sometimes if the situation or if it is hectic, we will
not eat at all. With that, our group choose to sell burger because it is accessible, convenient, and on-the-go food. Since the
product is very affordable it appeals to many potential markets such as working class, students, drivers, and others.

B. Strategies

We all are aware that many strategies have been implemented or trending nowadays. This are the strategies we're
focusing on:
1. Discounts
2. Coupons and Promos
3. Cross-Sell More Products
4. Improve Customer Service
5. To increase brand exposure and recognition, Burger N' Bites will have official social media accounts on
Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
6. Social Media Marketing. Customers can order from our restaurants online, and Burger N' Bites will deliver the
products.
7. As part of its promotion for our restaurant's opening, Burger N' Bites will provide free samples of our product.
8. On the first day of our business, Burger N' Bites will give away freebies to the first 50 customers who purchase
our products.
9. On each anniversary, we will offer exclusive promotions to our loyal customers.
10. We will provide loyalty cards to consumers who make a purchase for the 10th time or more. They will be granted
a loyalty card if they will keep and store all their receipt.

C. Business Name, Logo, and Tagline

i. Textual Elements

The “Burger N’ Bites” brand name is a polygonal shape in brown wood


with a hamburger in the centrepoint. In addition to that, it has "Est 2023" written
on it, which denotes that the company was founded in the year 2023. As can be
seen from above, there is seafood since the patty in our burger is made of
seafood. The background is color red, and the lines on the side of this form have
yellow patterns as a component of the layout. These design elements are
intended to draw the attention of customers to our company's logo.

ii. Symbolisms

a. Burger N’ Bites

The name of our business is Burger N' Bites. We gave it the name "Burger N' Bites" because the burger will
be the main item we sell, and "bites" refers to the side dish we will also offer to customers.

b. The Burger

The entirety of the burger that is depicted in the center of our logo represents our product. This will be our
product, which we will sell to customers. Because of the popularity of fast food in the area, we made the decision to
sell burgers with a twist.

c. The Fish and Shrimp

The fish and shrimp illustration above the logo represent the two different patties in our "Fish Ina Bun" and
"Shrimp Ina Bun" burgers.

d. The Spoon and Fork

Customers eating our food will be represented by the spoon and fork seen under the logo.

e. Three Stars

1. High Quality Service

This means that we will treat clients with efficiency, promptness, and friendliness, while also establishing
long-term relationships.

2. High Quality Product

This means that we will deliver a product that meets the needs of customers, achieves its goal, and
adheres to industry standards.

This means that we will offer customers products at reasonable prices.

Because we want to be the kind of restaurant that comes to mind first when people think of the phrase "tasty
burger," we came up with this tagline to describe what we strive to be. Another justification for this slogan is the fact that
it makes it abundantly clear what it is that we are selling as well as what it is that we are providing for them. It also draws
attention to the burgers that are our main course.

III. Products and Services

A. Product Description

Craving-inducing foods come in a variety of flavors. From savory foods to sweet and salty ones, there is one crave-
worthy food that gets people talking. Burgers are the ideal snack for anyone. People regard it to satisfy them because it is
filling even if you don't eat that much. Due to this, our company now offers new flavors of your all-time favorite burger.

Introducing Shrimp Ina Bun and Fish Ina Bun with fruity refresh in a variety of flavors. Fresh shrimp and breadcrumbs
are combined to make our shrimp burger, which is fried until golden brown and has the right amount of crunch. For those who
cannot purchase our shrimp burger due to allergies, we also use fresh fish to make our incredibly delicious fish burger. Our
Fruity Refresh has three flavors that customers can choose from such as Lemon, Mango, and Buko.

Our shrimp burger provides a delicious and unique flavor. Most burgers at restaurants use a beef patty. To give it a
different flavor, we use shrimp instead of beef, and to provide them with more options and prevent them from just purchasing
shrimp burgers at our business. We also introduced additional flavors to our burgers for people who have an allergy to shrimp,
and we also have a fruity refresh for the perfect combination with our burgers.

B. Actual Product Variations

Seafood Ina Bun

I. Product Description

Our Seafood Ina Bun have two variations which are the Shrimp Ina Bun and the Fish Ina Bun. Normally, burgers have
beef patties so our team thought that it will be good to try something new and add twist to a normal beef burger. We came up
with the idea of Shrimp Ina Bun and Fish Ina Bun because aside from the fact that it is delicious, it has more less fat so the
people who are on diet will enjoy eating burger without thinking much about the calories. Protein is an important nutrient, but
burgers offer way more than that. Whenever you eat a burger, you'll also give your body B-vitamins, iron, zinc, niacin, and
other vitamins and minerals. When your body has top-notch fuel, you can boost your energy levels.

Our Shrimp Ina Bun is a burger with a shrimp patty. The burger will be made up of bun, shrimp patty, lettuce, tomatoes,
cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. The main ingredient of the burger is the shrimp patty which is low in calories and
number of key nutrients such as vitamin B12, which helps form red blood cells and maintain nervous system function, and
selenium, a mineral that helps protect sells from damage.

On the other hand, our Fish Ina Bun is a burger with a fish patty. The burger will be made up of bun, fish patty, lettuce,
tomatoes, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. The main ingredient of the burger is the fish patty which is filled with
omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins such as D and B2 (riboflavin). Fish is rich in calcium and phosphorus and a great source of
minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium.

Our main menu, which is the burger, may come with side dish such as the mojos and the nachos. Our mojos and
nachos will come with different flavors, cheese, plain, garlic powder, etc. After picking which Seafood Ina Bun burger you’ll
going to eat, you will next pick which side dish you want. Seafood Ina Bun can come as solo or without add on side dishes or
beverages.

Fruity Refresh

I. Product Description

Our restaurant will not only offer savory and tasty burgers but will also quench your thirst with our Beverages. From
the essential buko juice, savory mango juice and healthy lemon juice, Burger N’ Bites will offer every healthy food.

A good beverage must always be by the side of a savory dish. The drinks we offered are Buko Juice, Mango Juice,
and Lemon Juice. Buko Juice is does contain some nutrients, including the B vitamins Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), pantothenic
acid, folic acid, biotin, as well as trace amounts of thiamin (B1), Vitamin C, potassium, and sodium. It also contains some
simple carbohydrates (sugars) and amino acids. Mango Juice is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and it has been
associated with many health benefits, including potential anticancer effects, as well as improved immunity and digestive and
eye health. And Lemon Juice are high in vitamin C, fiber, and various beneficial plant compounds. These nutrients are
responsible for several health benefits. Our beverages will not just satisfy your thirst and taste buds, but it will also provide
you a good health.

We will ensure that our products are prepared in a highly sanitary kitchen and produce them with our best ingredients.
We care for our customer’s health while we give them what they have paid for. Our Beverages are not just for the tongue but
also for health.

What advantages does our special burger provide? One of the best snack foods in the Philippines is the burger.
Throughout the nation, you can find this delicious snack food. Shrimp may benefit bone and brain health, weight management,
and cardiovascular disease risk reduction, according to the research. Additionally, it might ease menstrual pain. Shrimp can
be a delicious and high-benefit way to improve your general health. While milkfish can satisfy the body's protein requirements.
The high nutritional value of milkfish can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and boost stamina. Specific product benefits
are included in Burger N’ Bites. The following are the benefits of our exceptional product, which will undoubtedly sell out to
customers:
1. Has great taste. The main ingredient in our Shrimp Ina Bun is shrimp patties. Additionally, milkfish is used in our
Fish Ina Buns. And the fresh buko, mango, or lemon that make up the Fruity Refresh. As a result, this product is
intended to stand out in its field.
2. Increasing ease of access and convenience. In addition to being reasonably priced, our product gives our
customers access to more food options. Comparing our products to the well-liked meal that was constantly sold

B. Description

Immediate Area

Burger N' Bites is located 2.2 kilometers from the Mamatid highway, so people can stop by if they want to try a new
and unique burger. Because this is a new business, the location is not fancy like other restaurants or stores. The location is
simply a simple but secure location that anyone can visit. We chose this location for our Burger N' Bites business because it
is accessible to everyone and is surrounded by subdivisions and villages, schools, and businesses. Villages and
subdivisions such as Saint Joseph Village 3, Oroville Subdivision, Mabuhay City Phase IV, Villa Palao, and Brgy. Buena
Rosario is not far away. Schools such as St. Jerome Integrated School of Cabuyao, St. Vincent College, Liceo De Mamatid,
and Mamatid Elementary School are also located in the area, which is a major advantage for Burger N' Bites to be profitable
because students enjoy fast foods such as burgers. JMDG Furniture Store, beauty shops, and a car wash were among the
other businesses in the area. Also within walking distance are convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Puregold, as well
as drug stores such as The Generics Pharmacy and an unfamiliar one called Farmacia ni Dok. The Mamatid Barangay Hall,
Mamatid Covered Court, Diocesan Shrine, and Parish of San Vicente Ferrer are also nearby. Furthermore, this location
would be simple to find and locate because Mamatid Barangay Hall is nearby and commuters such as workers and students
oftenly pass through this area.

11:30am-12:30pm- A lot of students need to go to school around 11:30am to 12:30pm, which causes traffic in

for travel.

II. Target Customer Profile

A. Potential Customer
The Burger N’ Bites restaurant is established in a commercial building at Banlic, Mamatid Cabuyao City of Laguna.
Its location is on the busy road of Mamatid which is an excellent opportunity for a new business. Vehicle workshops surround
the area, and offices, a school, and subdivisions are within walking distance. For this purpose, a market segmentation strategy,
specifically demographically, is conducted to ensure its potential customers. In addition, it gives a more profound analysis to
address the people’s needs and wants. Since Burger N’ Bites is on a lively street surrounded by school, subdivisions, office
center / buildings, malls, and others, the potential customers are expansive. Including its geographic description and
considering the age range, it will appeal to all ages: children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens. Other than that, the
inhabitants from nearby subdivisions and social groups of students, employees or laborers, teachers, drivers, commuters,
shoppers, friends and families are the possible consumers of Burger N’ Bites food and beverages. This restaurant is satisfying
for customers’ hunger needs and cravings.
One example of this is the Mamatid Elementary School and Liceo de Mamatid and it is only within walking distance
to Burger N’ Bites. During its operating hours, there shall be teachers, parents or guardians, other school workers, and
students passing by. Thus, Burger N’ Bites shall lead these people in preparing their meals for work or serving them to provide
sufficient energy to function the whole day. In other example, the people who for in the Barangay Hall will be performing their
services and duties that is why they need a place to stop by to fill their stomachs and even relax for a moment.
Just like the people who will play in the court beside the Barangay Hall, they can get the delicious and amazing
products of Burger N’ Bites. After a long tiring play, the players must eat their basic eating necessities. Following are the
commuters. They may be waiting for a ride or looking for a food establishment to spend their time in a similar case. They can
be someone who attended the masses from the other road San Miguel Parish Church, and such people who are about to
return home or go towards their designated place. Lastly, the potential customers are none other than the primary groups of
family and friends. Especially from close subdivisions, namely Saint Joseph Village 3. On the whole, this business provides
its potential customers with affordable, healthy, and ready-to-eat products for a diverse range of customers, no matter their
age, gender, and religion they have.

B. Target Market
Burger N’ Bites offers a variety of burgers which not just only focuses on serving savory burgers but also serving
healthy burgers. With its menu highlighting the snack loved by Filipinos, which is the burger, the team identified three groups
as the target market. These are divided into:
1. The employees of the surrounding establishments such as the Barangay Hall,
2. The families and friends of the nearby subdivisions, and
3. The students and teachers at the nearby schools.
In addition, the qualifications of customers, namely the characteristics of their needs, pay, authority, and availability,
were considered in determining the said people.
The first category to be specifies is the employees, they work at nearby stores, offices, gas stations, car washing
services, malls, and other establishments. Since they are present during their working hours, whether on weekdays or
weekends, they have the opportunity to recognize Burger N’ Bites, especially during their break time. To state why they are
the target customers of Burger N’ Bites is to say that they need a place to order or dine in meals that will provide them energy
and fulfill their other body necessities with healthy foods. This business can give them an affordable product for their whole

day or break time. The following quality to be considered is these customers’ pay. Burger N’ Bites, valuing creating cheap
foods, these workers have the capability for payment, especially after gaining and saving their salaries.
The second category is the inhabitants of Saint Joseph Village 3, Garden Homes Subdivision, Villa Palao Subdivision
and Mabuhay City, mainly family and friends. Considering their geographic distance, the availability to check out this
restaurant business is high. Our burgers will be serving the craving and needs of family and friends that live in the said
subdivisions. They will always have the chance to check the restaurant because it will be either a walking distance from their
subdivision or it will be known to many people that they will be curious to visit the restaurant.
Lastly, the students and teachers of Mamatid Elementary School and Liceo de Mamatid, since they are present during
their class hours and after school hours, especially on weekdays, they will have the opportunity to recognize and visit Burger
N’ Bites. To state why they are the target customers of Burger N’ Bites is to say that they will be needing a place to go after
school hours or their break time and will provide them a savory and delicious food. The following quality to be considered is

these burger boxes extra insulation for heat and makes them more rigid and
sturdy, which helps to prevent any accidental spills or leaks. Constructed from
high-quality and eco-friendly materials, ripple wall hamburger boxes are a cost-
effective and practical solution for food packaging. Their lightweight design and
easy-to-use features make them suitable for every fast-food restaurant, café, or
food truck. Additionally, they are grease-resistant, environment-friendly, and

3. Wearing excessive accessories while working; however, lobe earrings will be exempted from this policy.

6. Working with poor hygiene, such as untied hair, long nails, filthy hands, etc.
7. Using vulgar words inside the store during business hours.
8. Making indecent gestures to customers and other workers.
9. Taking an action of refusal against the manager’s reasonable orders.
10. Disrespecting the customer that can cause a customer’s negative feedback.

1st Offense
A verbal warning will be given to the said employee who committed the offense, which will be recorded. They will be

three (3) days of suspension from work.

3rd Offense
After the warning and disciplinary actions, the employee is already subject to termination if they still commit the 3rd

such. On the other hand, in educational credibility, high school graduates and above are eligible. Though, graduates of the
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and a degree holder in clunary arts and hospitality
management are preferred. In addition, applicants with one or more years of experience in the food service industry shall be
mainly examined.
The next important step is to post and promote the job opportunity. Given that digital promotion of such an offer is
one of the most impactful ways to ensure that people see and apply for the position, we will utilize it, with Facebook and
Instagram as the primary tools. We will, however, continue to use printed copies of the job opportunity details, such as flyers

Dishwasher, and a Delivery Man to start the base operations of our company. In line with this, a business enterprise would
need people and a workforce to run and function. The organization values the employees who’ll work with them. Thus, they
will receive a justifiable pay grade and benefits. The expected human resources cost will be ₱2,000,000.00 per year; this is
an estimated guess made while trying to account for employee benefits, taxes, and other fees included as employed.
Burger N’ Bites will also be providing its employees with benefits or indirect compensation from Social Security
System (SSS) upon employment, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC/PhilHealth), and Pagtutulungan sa
Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG). The SSS contribution rate taken by the employer is 8.5%. In
PHIC or PhilHealth, contributions are currently at 4%. PAG-IBIG contribution will be ₱100 from the monthly salary of each

and damages in the packaging. The suppliers are Norelynie Fruit Stand, Fresh Buko, Jenny Meat Store, Redlocks.

After use, the tools and equipment will be cleaned and kept in the cupboards and cabinets. The physical store has
an assigned storage room for storing goods and ingredients. All condiments in large quantities and yields are arranged on a
rack. The crew will keep the storage room clean. Some vegetables will be held inside the fridge at a monitored temperature
to keep them fresh. Proper ventilation and humidity inside the storage room must also be observed to avoid spoilage and
rotting of ingredients.

yellow, red, brown, and gray, which is the same as the logo. Because the company prioritizes respect, humanity, and the
wellbeing of its employees, recognizing them by name is one of many methods to demonstrate positive sentiments toward
them.

The establishment is 90 square meters and is divided into different areas. The establishment’s exterior is designed
so customers can quickly look at what's inside. As the customers enter the shop, they are instantly presented with the dining
area, which contains five tables and 24 seats. Right by the side of the dining area is the counter. It's conveniently close to the
entrance where the customers can quickly have a look at the menu and make their order. The counter is also designed with
minimal with a color of white and brown, keeping the traditional theme that the restaurant has. It provides a relaxing
atmosphere for the customers and the establishment's staff and adds to the aesthetic of the theme. Before employee or
personnel can enter the kitchen, they will need to pass by the counter area. The last room of the establishment, in the furthest
back, is the storage are of cleaning materials and the bathroom. We picked the color palette of red, yellow, and white because
of the retro theme.

The top view of Burger N’ Bites showcases the blueprint of the restaurant’s physical structure, illustrating the
placement, space, relationship, and distance between areas to address the business and guests’ needs. The place was
divided into five essential areas with their respective purposes: a dining area, counter, kitchen, storage, and bathroom. First,
the customers will be greeted by the retro style of the dining area and counter area. A minimalist red and white color scheme
were incorporated, evoking a comfortable and eye-pleasing environment. Likewise, the kitchen was located just behind the
counter area to direct the food to the claiming table allowing a hassle-free serving of meals. The kitchen and counter area
were purposely connected to provide a much more accessible and convenient location for the server and cook who prepares
the burgers and juice. Overall, the structure and placement of rooms are specifically designed for a more suitable and
convenient operation while retaining a Retro style dining ambiance. The interior design was kept simple and minimal to convey
that all customers, regardless of social status, ethnicity, or cultural background, are welcome and will feel at home and be
accommodated in the restaurant.

Following the modern-retro facade chosen for the establishment, the exterior of Burger N’ Bites consists of nothing
more than the basics. The wall is glass so it will be accessible and convenient for the customers. We decided to go with the

The kitchen area has a sufficient space to allow the chef and kitchen personnel to move freely. The kitchen is the
allotted place solely for preparing, cleaning, cooking, and plating meals to avoid contamination and keep the cooking process
safe and clean. A kitchen window was installed beside the stove to provide natural lighting and to keep the air fresh by enabling
food odor to escape. It is equipped with the requisite kitchenware to facilitate an employee-friendly working environment.
Furthermore, a wooden wall was constructed between the dining and kitchen areas to allow customers to view the food
preparation, provide little entertainment, and ensure a safe and pleasant dining experience.

The dining area is where the customers will eat their food or be seated while waiting. The dining area includes five
tables and seats that are enough to accommodate 24 people. As customers enter the restaurant, they first encounter the
dining area and will immediately be given seats. The dining area is the center of the establishment. Beside it is the counter
where the customers can take their orders and go to their seats and the counter where the customers will order the item
they want from the menu. It follows through one of the critical points of the Burger N’ Bites, which is convenience. This setup
makes it convenient for the customers, who can access what they need immediately.

A Business Permit, also called a Mayor's Permit, will prove that the business is appropriately licensed and entitled
to operate legally within the locality and a proof that the company is paying taxes and dues to the local government office.
This permit serves to help secure essential papers of the enterprise. It requires situating in a detectable place for verification
and legitimacy of the customer or authorized person visiting to inspect the store. It is confirmation that the company is
registered.
The permit renewal every January 1st and 20th of the year is a must. Expect consequences may happen if a
business fails to file a resurgence, such as a 25% surcharge on renewal fees with an additional 2% interest per month of
delay. Moreover, the Local Government Unit (LGU) is to sanction a suspension for a business within their jurisdiction if they
fail to renew business permits.

met the criteria and standards and complied with the sanitary permit requirements. Food and non-food establishments need
a sanitary permit to initiate a business.
A clean and organized environment is essential for any business or enterprise, not only for customers but also for
the owners, staff, and employees. The overall place is the reflection of the enterprise, a dirty and disorderly environment
might raise doubts about the management's commitment to the safety of the customers and employees. By creating a

The Department of Trade & Industry granted the legality of Burger N’ Bites restaurant's business identity and rights.
DTI permits ensure high-quality, secure products at fair prices through implementing initiatives that support informed and
watchful customers, cooperative and self-policing businesses, and a safe consumer environment. It is crucial to understand
that selecting a business name is only one of the recordkeeping requirements when registering a business in the
Philippines. It does not constitute a license to operate. Because it lacks a distinctive identity that customers can recall, a
business without a name is hardly a business.
Additionally, two companies with the same name could confuse prospective customers and hinder all marketing
efforts. Therefore, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) advises all business owners to obtain a Certificate of
Business Name Registration. Apart from emerging with a name for your new business, you must go through the DTI
business registration process if you are a sole owner. It is necessary to register your single proprietorship business with the
DTI to provide it with a legal identity and gain the right to use your business name. Remember that a business name (BN)

As students, the most important things we consider is our time because we must meet many deadlines and such. We
always experience eating while doing activities and meeting deadlines and sometimes if the situation or if it is hectic, we will
not eat at all. With that, our group choose to sell burger because it is accessible, convenient, and on-the-go food. Since the
product is very affordable it appeals to many potential markets such as working class, students, drivers, and others.

There are a lot of people who take pleasure in eating burgers and the sides that come with them, but some burger
joints serve patties with flavors that are virtually the same because they use the same meat or other ingredients. We decided
to open a burger shop because we want to invent a new type of burger that uses a patty that is different from the usual kind
of patty. In addition, our burger will be accompanied by a selection of tasty side dishes, and it will be served alongside
