Later, women stopped wearing bikinis and for hundreds of years,
there weren’t any bikinis or swimsuits.
1700 – 1900 In the 1700s, men and women started wearing swimsuits. These were
big and long. Swimming was very difficult for women. At first, they
wore long dresses. Then, they wore ugly, black dresses with trousers.
1900 – TODAY A hundred years ago, men wore short swimsuits and women wore
long dresses with long, black socks. Then in 1907, Annette Kellerman,
a famous Australian swimmer, came to the USA with a new type of
swimsuit. This was the first short swimsuit for women.
At first, people hated the new swimsuit. But soon, it
was very popular.
Men started wearing swimming shorts in the 1930s and
in 1946, women started wearing bikinis again. Today,
people often wear shorts and bikinis for swimming.

Acostuma a anar acompanyat de les expressions at the moment (en aquest moment), now (ara), right now

En negativa afegim not a am, però a is i are podem afegir-los not o la contracció n’t.

I saw a great jacket last week.

We are flying at three o’clock tomorrow. (Volem / Volarem demà a les tres.)
Recorda, si és una intenció, utilitza be going to.
I am staying at home tonight.
Present Continuous. Repassa-les si et cal.
My brother is not coming later. (El meu germà no ve / no vindrà després.)
Are you having lunch in an hour? Yes, we are. / No, we aren’t. (Dineu / Dinareu d’aquí a
una hora? Sí. / No.)
