COMPULSORY SUBJECTS
English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Mathematics / Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation
are compulsory subjects from Grade 10 to Grade 12.

MAIN SUBJECTS /STREAMS AND ELECTIVE SUBJECTS

Each learner will choose 2 subjects from the main stream and one subject from the elective.
(However if needed a learner may take one subject from the mainstream and two from elective should they want to -
but choices must stay within the stream of choice)

PROCEDURE TO REQUEST CHANGES

NOTE: Grade 10 may change 2 subjects

1. A letter /email from parent is requested for the change of a subject(s)

2. Indicate current subjects on the subject change application form
3. Indicate which subject needs to be changed
4. Indicate the new subject

ICT AND SCIENCE

NB: Please note that a learner can only choose CAT OR IT - not both! Should a learner take Physical Science -
Mathematics is compulsory and the learner may not choose Mathematical Literacy
