PCA-Human Resource Frame Worksheet


Worksheet Objectives:
1. Describe the human resource frame
2. Apply the human resource frame to your personal case situation

Complete the following making sure to support your ideas and cite from the textbook and other
course materials per APA guidelines. After the peer review, you have a chance to update this and
format for your Electronic Portfolio due in Module 6.

1) Briefly restate your situation from Module 1 and your role.

My role is a Human Resource manager, who works alongside corporate research and strategy.
The situation is regarding gender discrimination and pay inequity.

2) Describe how the human resources of the organization influenced the situation.

A strict policy could be put into place that emphasizes that employment discrimination is
unacceptable. We could also train the managers regarding discrimination. I had also suggested
advocating for employees by promoting diversity and inclusion, ensuring that pay is fair.

3) Recommend how you would use the human resources for an alternative course of
action regarding your case.

I would empower the individuals to advocate for themselves and to speak up about the issues
they are facing from leaders/managers. I would attempt to resolve the issue by ensuring that their
pay is fair and that their leaders are educated on gender discrimination. Depending on the
scenario, and if this was a previous issue with a leader, I would see if the appropriate actions
could be taken to reduce the issues in our workplace because I’m sure that there are others who
are also experiencing this from them, but not all people are comfortable with speaking up.

4) Reflect on what you would do or not do differently given what you have learned
about this frame.

The only thing I would change about this is establishing a plan to educate our leaders and
employees on this matter. I wouldn’t change my plan, because I think it fits well given the
situation and it’s a fair approach. My role is to ensure that the organization maintains respectful
treatment of all employees in the workplace and creates inclusivity.
