INTRODUCTION
Nexus Health Centre is located in the small town of Taman Sri Iskandar. To meet the healthcare
needs of students, it provides comprehensive healthcare services tailored to their specific
requirements.

Nexus Health Centre provides a comprehensive range of clinical and health administrations to
assist our understudy patients' bodily and emotional well-being. Our team comprises caring
and highly experienced healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering excellent treatment in
a welcoming and supportive environment.

We deal with understudy well-being thoroughly, from routine check-ups and preventative care
to specific medications and minor tactics. Vaccinations, health screenings, general care,
women's health, mental health assistance, and other services are available via us. We want to
ensure that kids have the healthcare they need to live and flourish. We understand that academic
life may be difficult.

Nexus Health Centre distinguishes itself via its commitment to partnerships and cooperation.
We work with the university administration, counselling services, and sports teams to offer
integrated treatment and support for our student patients. We can supply constant medical
services insight and ensure that understudies acquire comprehensive aid for their bodily and
mental well-being demands by collaborating with various partners in the college's immediate
vicinity.

One of our key focuses is the comfort of our patients. Students will only have to make a short
journey since our clinic is near campus. In addition, to accommodate our students' hectic
schedules and make it simpler for them to get treatment, we provide simple appointment
scheduling options such as online booking and virtual consultations based on telemedicine.

The Nexus Health Centre's overarching goal is to offer students the resources to manage their
health and academic achievement. We can enhance each student's university experience by
concentrating on their healthcare requirements, supporting wellness, and boosting overall
success.
EXTERNAL FACTORS

 DEMOGRAPHIC AND POPULATION

Population and demographics are external factors that could be taken into consideration while
opening a new clinic in Taman Seri Iskandar. In a December 2019 post, CFI Team described
demographics as the socioeconomic traits of population companies utilize to understand their
clients' product preferences and purchase habits. Age is one of several factors that affect
demographics. University students are a particularly health-vulnerable population despite their
youth. The importance of health promotion at institutions of higher learning cannot be
overstated, given the potential multiplier effect that university students may have as future
leaders and decision-makers.

Demanding quality healthcare for universities is crucial. Given that the Nexus Wellbeing
Centre will be built in the sleepy village of Taman Seri Iskandar, these pupils need the
appropriate healthcare for their mental and physical wellbeing. Two prestigious institutions
have already been built in this area, and young individuals between 18 and 24 will make up
most of the target age group. According to a Forbes news story published on September 23,
2013, more students now enrol at universities with stringent medical requirements, including
issues with their mental health. One in four people is already using psychoactive substances,
which allows them to enrol in colleges where they otherwise would not be able to. Managing
severe illnesses, including asthma, ADHD, eating disorders, addiction, autism spectrum
disorders, and physical disability, is also a problem for many people.

The preferences of university students for healthcare were a further factor to be discussed in
this. According to research published on April 20th, 2017, by Carolyn M. Garcia, Kate E.
Lechner, Ellen A. Frerick, Katherine A. Lust, and Marla E. Eisenberg, students are split in their
desire for healthcare practitioners to be competent to handle their health issues or concerns and
professional. On the other side, many students also desired that medical professionals be
accessible.
 LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITIES

Accessibility and location may also be external factors in the clinic's operation. The proximity
of a clinic to the university campus has an impact on the student. They can obtain the necessary
healthcare at any moment without spending their money on transportation or travelling a great
distance to see a doctor about their painful stomach ache. According to research conducted by
Xiaofang Pan, Mei-Po Kwan, Lin Yang, Shunping Zhou, Zejun Zuo, and Bo Wan on
September 15, 2018, accessibility refers to the convenience with which an individual or
location can reach an activity location or urban services. Location-based or place-based
accessibility, which differs conceptually from individual-based accessibility, is frequently used
to determine whether the spatial distribution of public facilities is minimal. As a vital
component of public facilities, particularly for university students who study in a small
community far from the central city, healthcare facilities provide them with essential medical
services, and their distribution and accessibility directly impact their health.

In actuality, the university's primary objective is to ensure that all students have easy access to
healthcare facilities, such as clinics. Student transportation is one of the external elements to
consider when opening a new clinic in a small town with the two most prominent institutions.
If there isn't traffic, it will take 35 to 45 minutes to drive to the nearest hospital from Taman
Sri Iskandar. Given the challenges, students face with transportation, a clinic need to be built
close to the institution. A clinic that treats students' medical and mental health issues, such as
depression, PTSD, and severe anxiety, as well as physical ailments, including the common
cold, ankle fractures, and stomach aches. At Nexus Health Centre, those with mental illnesses
will have easier access to therapy, and those who live far from home can arrange follow-up
sessions there.
 COLLABORATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS

Along with the previously mentioned elements, the clinic's and the university's partnerships
and cooperation will also be considered. In order to do that, the clinic—in this example, Nexus
Health Centre—must build a working relationship with the university administration to get
their support and endorsement. The partnerships are intended to advance health programs,
student outreach activities, and referral channels. From this point on, the student will be aware
that they are in good hands in an emergency, such as a football-related accident or an
unexpected asthma attack in the middle of the night.

In terms of their healthcare, students who intend to attend local universities can also persuade
their parents. According to a Forbes story published on September 23, 2013, young adults are
in a crucial stage of development. They develop habits that will affect their overall well-being,
learning, and ability to fulfil their personal and professional goals as they learn to handle their
health and medical care without as much parental supervision. Sleeping late at night is one of
the terrible habits they could pick up; some might go days without a wink of sleep. The clinic
must work with the university administration because some students have been reported to
starve themselves to save pocket money or to forget to eat owing to their busy schedules.

Nexus Health Centre will work with the student academic department and the university
administration. The collaboration's goal is to support the provision of educational workshops,
seminars, or even internships connected to healthcare-related subjects. The collaboration could
increase teacher and student knowledge of Nexus Health Centre services. Through the
partnerships, the institution may also get involved in actively discouraging students from using
illegal substances like tobacco, alcohol, or even any drugs while also encouraging a healthy
method to handle stress through proper nutrition, sleep, and exercise.
 INSURANCE AND PAYMENT SYSTEMS

The academic purpose is crucially supported by another focus on health in its broadest sense.
Science has known for the past 20 years what Dr Daniel Silverman and colleagues wrote in a
2008 article: "Health creates capacity; students with positive and flourishing health status have
greater ability and readiness to learn and engage fully in all meaningful educational experiences
inside and outside their classroom." Understanding how difficult it is for students to balance
their pocket money with their expenses for living in a dorm and buying daily necessities like
food, Nexus Health Centre established Student Health Insurance Advocacy as a critical
initiative. The purpose is to promote the clinic's inclusion in the university's student health
insurance programme. Here, by collaborating with the insurance companies to simplify the
billing and reimbursement procedures, we can make sure that students can easily access and
afford the clinic's services without having to worry that they will have to tighten their stomachs
by the end of the month just because they had a bad fever earlier in the month.

The cost will undoubtedly be high due to the university's expanding services and partnership
with Nexus Health Centre. The fact that every university student comes from a different
financial background is essential information. Some people struggle to make ends meet on their
meagre monthly stipend because they need to save money to pay for their dorm at the end of
the month. The worst aspect is that when students are sick, they take pills instead of seeking
the care they require out of fear that it will cost them money.

From this point on, Nexus Health Centre will provide students with straightforward pricing.
The clinic will inform the student about the pricing schedule and payment methods. They might
also benefit from the student discount by simply presenting their student ID cards during clinic
registration. The advantages guarantee that the students receive thorough and well-coordinated
treatment for their medical requirements. After all, the Nexus Health Centre in Taman Sri
Iskandar's primary goal is to guarantee that university students, in particular, receive the most
outstanding medical care. The future is in a healthy student.
 MARKET DEMAND AND TRENDS

Continuous market research requires opening a new clinic in a tiny town where the two
most esteemed colleges are located. Through constant market research, staying current on
changing healthcare trends and student demands is crucial. This clinic can recognize
changing healthcare needs and modify its offerings through research. Despite being
regarded as fortunate or even healthy, university students are increasingly engaging in risky
behaviours for their health, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, eating poorly, and using
drugs, which among other things, may have a long-term negative impact on their physical
and mental well-being.

University students are more likely to represent a particularly vulnerable but

underrepresented demographic in the field of public health. The study is essential since a
person's ability to cope in later life at work affects how they behave in terms of their health
and how well they do in school. Despite having a higher level of health awareness, studies
have shown that these students are more likely to experience mental health issues and are
more likely to engage in risky behaviours to deal with increased stress, insomnia, or a lack
of social support. Students will undoubtedly experience significantly higher stress levels
throughout their first year of college, making this a crucial change in young people's lives.

Here, we can see how all of this necessitates a tremendous effort to encourage healthy lives
by learning more about the health-related behaviours of this demographic. In order to
promote better healthcare, it is necessary to have adequate instruments for assessing and
evaluating students' exposure to health risks and their needs for personal care.

Additionally, a newly opened clinic, like Nexus Health Centre in this instance, must
actively market a far more flexible service menu. One of the primary aims is to keep the
clinic's services flexible to match the changing needs of the students and meet their
healthcare needs. One of the methods that could be done is by frequently assessing the
demand for various services and considering expanding or changing services to fulfil those
needs, such as group therapy for those with a history of addictive behaviours like self-harm
or alcohol use.
CONCLUSION

After examining five potential external influences, it was determined that the five stated
could impact Nexus Health Centre's success. Demographic and population factors, location
and accessibility, partnerships and collaborations, insurance and payment systems, market
demand, and trends are just a few examples.

Understanding the particular healthcare requirements and preferences of the student

population is crucial, and services should be tailored to meet demand. Building a
relationship with the stakeholders in the university is crucial to overcoming obstacles and
offering all-encompassing care. In addition, it is critical to regularly monitor market trends
to ensure that the clinic will continue to be reachable and adaptable to students' changing
needs.

After carefully navigating and addressing these outside influences, Nexus Health Centre
may become one of the respected healthcare organizations, efficiently addressing the
healthcare needs of students and enhancing their general well-being.
