SECTION 1: COMPOSITION

1. Initiate, coordinate and monitor the implementation of peace and order programs, project and
activities at the barangay level.
2. Serve as an information-gathering mechanism pertaining to peace and order and other
information that may affect public safety.
3. Monitor and check the nefarious activity of criminal elements.
4. Supervise Barangay Tanod’s in identifying barangay constituents with a strong deviant behavior
for referral to appropriate authorities.
5. Maintain continuing dialogue, close coordination and report with the City/Municipal management
coordinating committee and the law enforcement units operating in the barangay.
6. Promote wholesome entertainment in the community, especially in movie houses.
7. Prepare AWFP for children and recommend appropriation to the Sanggunian.
8. Provide coordinate linkages with other agencies and institution in planning, monitoring and
evaluation plans for children.
9. Establish and maintain database on children in the barangay.
10. Advocate for establishment and maintenance of playgrounds, daycare centers and other facilities
necessary for child and youth development.
11. Advocate for the passage of barangay resolution/ordinance responsive to child related issues and
concern and ensure the inclusive of children program in the executive agenda.
12. Performs such other function and other hild related laws, especially in matters of child and
parents’ education, health, entertainment, etc.
