Project Summary:

The installation of the AVR in the elevator at CLUSTER 9/10 LEFT SIDE has been completed. The AVR
was installed in compliance with the manufacturer's recommendations and all applicable codes and
standards. The unit however is still in the state of temporary shutdown.

Scope of Work:

The scope of work for this project included the following tasks:

➢ Removing the AVR


➢ Installing the AVR
➢ Wiring the AVR to the existing elevator control system
Installation Process:

Step 1: Preparation

Before installation, the elevator power was disconnected and locked out/tagged out. The new AVR
is brought into the elevator machine room.

Step 2: Removal of Existing AVR

The wiring connectors were disconnected from the old AVR. The old position of the wires is noted
to ensure proper reconnection to the new AVR.

Step 3: Installation of New AVR

The new AVR is placed in the position of the old AVR, and it is ensured to be compatible with the
elevator’s control system beforehand. The wires are reconnected from the terminals, and verified.
Electrical tape is used to secure the connectors preventing them from accidentally coming loose.

Conclusion:

The installation of the AVR was completed without any incidents or complications. All work was
performed per the manufacturer's recommendations, applicable codes, and standards. The elevator
is still in temporary shutdown due to various parts taken from it.

Recommendations:

It is recommended to install a car door belt, bistable switch, and door motor to ensure that the unit
is back to normal operation.
