Body 1: There was a slightly upward trend in the consumption of laptops in famous brands namely HP,

Dell and Toshiba. During the same two-year period, sales of notebook computers in HP company
increased slowly from 31.4% to 34%. Likewise, the year 2007 saw a moderate increase in Dell and
Toshiba, at 20.2% and 7.3%, respectively.

Body 2: The share market of Acer and Lenovo declined slowly, at 10.7% and 6.2% in 2007. The
percentage of market share in other companies represented over a fifth in 2006. However, by 2007, this
figure decreased slightly to 19.3%.
The given pie charts illustrate Japan and Malaysia in terms of household expenses in different categories
in 2010.

As can be seen from the graph, it is clearly evident that while spending on Other goods and services
accounted for the largest proportion of average expenditures in Japan, Malaysian citizens spent most on
Housing.

In Japan, the largest expense was for Other goods and services, at 29%, while the figure for this category
in Malaysia was just 26%. The allocation of spending on Housing in Malaysia was moderately higher than
that in Japan, at 34% and 21%, respectively. Regarding buying Food, Malaysians spent 3% more on this
category than their counterparts in Japan.

Expenditures on Transport and Health care in Japan were double compared to Malaysia. To be more
specific, spending on Health care in Japan was slightly more than that in Malaysia, representing 6% and
3%, respectively. Likewise, the expense of Transport in Japan made up one-fifth, while the figure for this
category in Malaysia was just 10%.
