Must Read

ACADEMIC
HONESTY

We would also like parents to be serious about the assessments and ensure that
even if you are traveling or are occupied, students should be able to attempt the
assessment. Our facilitators have taken a lot of effort in training and designing
skill based question papers for the students.

The requirement of an assessment is to gauge our teaching practices along with

theevidence of skill development in children. Therefore dear parents, it is
imperative that children should be given the freedom of attempting tasks
independently. Support can and should be given at the instructional level only. We
would like to know how well the student has understood the concepts taught in
class and can apply that knowledge in different contexts. Our aim is NOT to assess
how well the student remembers and how well they can reproduce that out of
memory, rather than understanding.

Given below are a few points that you should observe:

1. Please refrain from prompting the child

2. Since the questions are skill based, copy-pasting answers from the net is
discouraged. No marks will be given if a case of plagiarism is identified.
3. Parents should ensure workbooks and textbooks are kept away from students
during the assessment. Copying answers verbatim from the workbook is
dissuaded and will be remarked in the assessment reports
4. Encouraging students to attempt and answer to the best of their ability should
be the focus as against the marks.
5. The focus should be on understanding content rather than memorizing it.
6. The School will not be celebrating the toppers of the class or publishing class
level performances. Every child is distinct and we will celebrate the learning
and progress of each child.

We request parents to be patient as the dynamics of education is changing for the

better. It may be a slow process in some children but the change is inevitable where
we will soon see our children moving from a traditional rote learning system to a skill
based approach of teaching and learning.
