LAB 1-2: recap on operational amplifier

Lab exercise

Design, simulate, mount and measure the following OA-based circuits:

1. Voltage follower Vout = Vi

2. Non-inverting sum stage Vout = Vi + 2

3. Transconductance amplifier Iout = Vi/2200

4. Transimpedence amplifier Vout = Ii * 1000

5. Instrumentation amplifier Design a circuit able to measure the current IR

flowing into a 1kΩ resistor

Those characteristics must be verified with a tolerance of  5% , at room temperature

(25° C) and with a 10Kohm resistor load.

Additional data:

- Power supply voltage:  15V

- Vi is a sinusoidal signal, 1KHz

The value of the resistors used in the circuit must be computed in order to obtain
currents and voltages values compliant with available OA (TL082, TL084) and their
input/output characteristics.

MEASUREMENTS

All circuits:
- verify stage amplification values
- IN/OUT characteristic
- non idealities:
o offsets
o output current limits
o bandwidth limits

Circuit 1: measure and plot the frequency response varying the input signal frequency
from DC till 1MHz

Circuit 3: highlight the dependence of the IN/OUT characteristic from the value of RL

Circuit 3: what happen to the IN/OUT characteristic if the transfer function is

modified in Iout = Vi/100?
