To finish the joining process we need to verify your identity.

The easiest way to do this is on your phone using the ASB ID
app and an ePassport or New Zealand driver licence.

For best results, we recommend using your ePassport if

you have one.
In most cases, your identity will be verified immediately.
You'll need:

A current electronic passport. Check for

the chip symbol shown to confirm.

A compatible smartphone with

contactless payment and data transfer
(NFC) capability.

Will your ePassport work with the ASB ID app?

Country of issue

If you don't have a valid ePassport, you can use a valid

New Zealand driver licence.

Ensure your licence is scratch-free and

legible. It can take up to 3 working days
to verify using a driver licence.

If you can't verify your identity online, book an appointment.
