TOWN HALL MEETING
Thank you to all the members of St. Lawrence who took the
time to attend one of the Town Hall meetings last week-
end. Though the conversations were difficult and painful, eve-
heartfelt comments from many certainly were a strong expres-
sion of the love everyone has for the faith community of St.
Lawrence. Negotiating the challenges and changes of our cur-
rent days in the Diocese of Buffalo, through the Road to Re-
newal process, will require our continued prayers, deep sensi-
tivities, and hopes for the revitalization of our Church. We are
grateful for a number of attendees who indicated a willingness
to serve on a committee(s) to address a way forward. They
will begin meeting in the weeks to come.

There will be a soup supper before Stations of the Cross here on
March 1. Please sign up to bring a meatless soup to share.
LIFE IN THE EUCHARIST
It’s not too late to join us for Life in the Eucharist’s remaining
weeks at 6 PM on Thursday, March 7 at Ss. Columba-
Brigid. Take some time during Lent to reflect on the gift of God
himself in the Eucharist. There will be plenty of time for table
conversation and sharing. A simple meal is served every
week. Supper is sponsored by St. Martin de Porres on February
29.
MEET & GREET
The Knights of Peter Claver Council #94 (St. Martin de Porres,
Buffalo, NY) is hosting a Meet & Greet for Catholic young men
between the ages of 7 – 18 years old looking to learn how to be-
come a Junior Knight! Do you have what it takes? The only way
to know is to come check us out on Saturday, March 2, 2024, be-
ginning at 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm, St. Martin de Porres Church, 555
Northampton Street, Buffalo, NY. THIS EVENT IS FREE!

CONFIRMATION CLASSES
Session One begins this spring. The dates and times have been
changed since several of our teens could not make Thursday eve-
nings! Please note the new dates. Sundays from 12:30 pm - 2
pm: 3/3, 3/17, 3/24 and 4/7 at Ss. Columba-Brigid for candidates
who have been baptized and are in at least the ninth grade. Please
complete the registration forms and return them to your parish
office.
LIVING STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Living Stations of the Cross will be presented at Ss. Columba-
Brigid on Friday, March 15 at 7 PM. We are actively looking for
children, teens, and adults from all of our parishes to participate
in the presentation. Roles are simple and easy to learn. Some
require no speaking parts at all. Sign-up with your name and
phone number.
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE FUNDRAISER
The Holy Name Men of St. Martin de Porres are collecting pull
tabs from soft drink cans for the Ronald McDonald House. This
charity supports families during health crises of their chil-
dren. Place the tabs in the collection box at the church entrance.
