Dear Parents or Guardians,

My name is Miss Thompson, your learner’s student teacher! As part of our social studies

curriculum, we are learning about different inventors. One of those inventors is Henry Ford! While

Henry Ford did not invent a physical object, he invented a system of assembly that revolutionized the

automobile industry, the assembly line! In order to fully understand the assembly line, your learners

will be participating in our own assembly line to create small toiletry bags that I will then donate to

local homeless shelters! Not only is this a great way for the learners to understand the curriculum

content, but it is also a great way for them to be involved in helping their community! In order to make

this lesson a success I am asking for donations, if you are willing and able to donate it would be greatly

appreciated! I am asking for any donations of travel sized toiletry items, including shampoo,

conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, and toothbrushes to be in by next Friday February 9 th.
