Biography
Ricardo Palma was born on February 7, 1833, in Lima, Peru, (1833-1919) was a
renowned Peruvian writer and journalist. His most famous work, "Peruvian Traditions,"
skillfully blended history and folklore, preserving Peru's cultural heritage. Palma's
writings promoted national identity and remain influential in Peruvian literature. His
dedication to preserving Peruvian traditions and storytelling legacy earned him a lasting
place in the nation's literary history.
Ricardo Palma died of natural causes at the age of 86. His exact cause of death was
related to his advanced age and general health at the time.
