CT BRAIN (PLAIN STUDY)

Technique:

CT scan of brain was performed on SOMATOM 32 Slice CT scanner.

Findings:

Cortical sulci, sylvian fissures, basal cisterns, cerebellar foliae and ventricular system appear prominent.

Anterior falx and right lentiform nuclei calcifications noted.

4th ventricle, brain stem and CP angle regions are within normal limits.

Sella, suprasellar & parasellar areas are normal.

Rest of the brain parenchyma shows normal grey white matter differentiation.

Midline structures and corpus callosum are normal.

No hemorrhage pathology / extra­axial collection seen.

Atheromatous wall calcifications noted in left vertebral artery.

IMPRESSION:

* Diffuse cerebral and cerebellar atrophy.
