(c) A woman works for 40 hours normal weekly time. Her basic rate is K25.00 per hour and the
rate for overtime is ‘double time’. Calculate her total wage for a week in which she works

4. (a) A bag contains 4 white and 6 pink buttons. One button is picked at random from the bag.
Find the probability that the button is white. [2]
(c) A sales agent has a salary of K2 200.00 per month. She also receives a commission of 4%
On all her sales. If the total sales for a month was K35 000.00, calculate her total income for
that month. [3]
(d) The figure PQRSTU below is a triangular prism in which PQ = 8cm, QR = 15 cm,
RS = 20cm and SU = 17cm.

(c) Makwebo bought a Television set for £250. How much is this amount in Zambian Kwacha given
that the exchange rate between the Zambian Kwacha and the British pound was £1 = K26.50? [3]
