F: LESSON PHASES:
1. INTRODUCTION
To check the prior knowledge of the learners, I will start by pausing a question to learners and that will
help me to draw the focus of the learners. I will ask learners what they understand about the term
force. Learners will be given a chance to answer randomly, after hearing all the responses then I will
define the term force using the definition from the textbook.

2. DEVELOPMENT
Step 1

I will continue with the explanation of the term force. I will then make a few examples of what
is meant by the definition to help the children to have a better understanding and visualize
what we are discussing. I will continue to use question and answer to provoke them by asking
what type of forces they know, or they have heard with.

Step 2

I will allow learners to give a try, after hearing all the responses I will then name the five types
of forces that we are going to be discussing in todays lesson, which are BENDING,
TENSION, TORSION, COMPRESSION AND SHEARING FORCE.

Step 3

I will use explanation as the teaching strategy. I will define each force to the learners to help
them understand the difference between forces. I will then give them 1 example per type of a
force to help them understand better. In this example, some will be demonstrated to them so
that they can visualize what we are discussing and have a better understanding.

3. CONSOLIDATION/LESSON CONCLUSION
Learners will be given a chance to ask any question for clarity. The teacher will give the feedback to
questions and then sum up the lesson of the day by asking the learners which things did we talk about
during the lesson, in that way I can tell by their answers if they were listening or not.
G: ASSESSMENT:
1. ASSESSMENT TYPE
Classwork

2. ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENTS/TOOLS
Worksheet

3. ASSESSMENT METHOD

4. ASSESSMENT TASK AND INSTRUCTIONS

Give example of each force we discussed that are found outside the classroom

H: EXTENDED LEARNING/ENRICHMENT
it productive to let learners work in groups, so that they can move at one pace by helping one another

I: TEACHER REFLECTION ON LESSON TAUGHT: (TO BE COMPLETED AFTER

LESSON WAS TAUGHT)
1. SUCCESSES EXPERIENCED
Lesson was well presented

2. CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED
Some found it hard to understand the examples of forces, but I was able to deal with that by repeating
my explanation

3. POSSIBLE REVISIONS
I will try to explain better, by repeating each definition about 3 times so that no one is left behind

4. INTERESTING INCIDENTS
Some learners did not need my repetition
5. WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM THIS PARTICULAR EXPERIENCE?
I learnt that children are not the same some need more explanation to understand and some can
understand with only one explanation.
